It was my first electronic loader and holds a dear spot in my heart

Viewloader Revolution (12 Volt)This is the BENCHMARK for all loaders!
By far the most reliable loader ever created, and one of the simplest! You need to try and screw these things up!

Been using mine since I bought it brand new and it has yet to fail me! Even those that I have purchased used have worked like they were fresh from the factory. Really an unbeatable loader and a steal when purchased used nowadays.
Highly recommended for those mechs/pumps/and lower electros.

What can you say about a classic design like the Revolution? It works, works well, but won't keep up with your 25bps markers...
It is a relic of an older paintball age, when the mech gun ruled and the electronic marker was in its infancy... they're still great on older guns and for nostalgia, but with Halos costing 20-30 bucks used, there's not a lot of point to them these days.
I probably would not recommend the Revolution to a newer player, unless they just wanted nostalgia.

I always recommend one of these for anyone with a mechanical gun, because shaking-and-baking with a non-agitated gravity hopper is just a pain. This is the bare minimum for an agitated hopper (but it was such a big deal when it first came out!) A servo like the ones you see in R/C vehicles revolve a paddle whenever its infrared sensors detect a gap in its feedneck. the balls get turns and one eventually falls down the feedneck. It feeds fine at around 12bps, more than most people can pull a mechanical trigger. I would not recommend this on an electric gun unless it has its own anti-chop system, like eyes.
It's great on batteries because of its simple design, compared to some of the big monsters these days.
It sure as hell beats the Quantum, which just moves non-stop and is annoying to the user and his/her teammates who are near him/her...
Appearance: it's kind of bad... and unnecessarily shaped the way it is shaped, but that's personal preference.
Performance: it's a constant mediocre-to-good feed rate, but it is constant for sure, which is good.
Reliability: keep the batteries juiced. Its mechanisms are quite simple so it's not likely to break. The shells may be a different story but if you are going to be diving around you would probably be using a better hopper anyway (which also happens to be heavier, thus more prone to breaking if not for its sturdier material, quite ironic, IMO)
Value: You really shouldn't pay $50 for this. Luckily, many used ones are sold for less than that.

These are excellent hoppers. Being the common bare minimum suggestion for an agitated hopper, they aren't nearly as fast as many other hoppers out there, but they make up for it with excellent battery life, simplicity, and price. They have good feed consistency and are excellent for mechanical marker users, high-speed pumpers, and autotrigger users.
The older-style shells are extremely durable- more so than many hopper materials used today. The newer ones that are sold today are not very durable and crack easily, especially when you need to take apart and reassemble your Revolution hopper.
Overall, they are excellent for the price- reliable, simple, and have excellent battery life. The newer shells leave something to be desired though. I consider the older shells somewhat of an upgrade.

Viewloader Revolution (12 Volt)The revy is wayyyy past its prime. That said, it was a very viable option for years.

Viewloader Revolution (12 Volt)great budget loader, especially if you only need it to feed 12.5 bps. A little outdated now, but still good loaders- especially the used ones that you can buy on the nation for like $30

the trusty old revy! i still have a couple in my garage that hav been sitting for a good 6 years now and with fresh batteries work no problem. the old style shells on them are literally indestructible. the newer ones can break but it takes alot of that to happen. the motors are strong and they do what they are asked. the only downfall is in this day and age, the guns shoots alot faster then what the revy can continually keep up with. since they are an agitating hopper instead of forcefeed, you cannot get the consistency youd expect from a forcefed. if your playing in the woods or just looking for a decent backup, these are great ways to go about it.

I bought one back in 2002 BNIB. I expected to use it for a year or two and then upgrade. Well, I did. But I kept the Revvy. I still have it to this very day and it is still LNIB. I use it at least four times a year for recreational/hopperball play. It feeds just enough for me to one ball without chopping. I have the old shells that are basically made of concrete and they are still crack free. I just last year had to change the batteries from the very first set! I never left the batteries in the loader when not in use, and they lasted 5 years before truly not working. This is an excellent entry level loader and for the price they can be had for now, they are invaluable for a backup.
