Why I bought it-
This has been my dream gun for quite some time, and I chose it after much research (about 7 months of research). Personally I chose it because I wanted guns that are well made. Timmys are light and fast, but their tolerances are very poor. I wanted something not too heavy, but fast and accurate. What makes my gun choice more complicated is also wanting a very well made gun. When I finally decided on a cyborg I chose it over a viking, because of the weight.
First impressions-
When I first got it I was hoping my gun was in the box because the box was so light. The gun comes with a VERY nice soft carrying case. When I looked at it I was very impressed by the anno job. I have seen my fair share of high end guns (EGO's G7, DM8 ect) because I worked at a pb field, but the anno job on this is better than anything else I have seen before. The milling on it is very clean and simple. I don't really like fancy milling (timmys) because it makes it seem like a toy to me, so it wasn't a minus for me. On the gun, reg, and barrel there are bubble jewels (dunno how to explain them) but they look really nice and professional. The stock trigger pull is on the heavy side, but a new board, new switch, or a modded switch would fix that (now buying used almost every gun has fix this issue some way or another). I could still shoot very fast even though the trigger pull was just OK, but now that I have NOX it is insane.
Using it-
It is very fast, and many people on the local team were asking me what board was in it (still stock) and how much I paid for it. It is something very unique and there are only two at my field (my friend bought one after I did). The biggest thing I noticed was the accuracy. All guns are fast these days, so that is something to be expected, but the matchstick really is a great barrel (many prefer it over an ultralight myself included). The reg has a fast recharge rate, but can be a little weird until it is broken in.
Bottom line-
This is the best value gun out there right now. It is as fast as any other high end gun, and is very accurate. It isn't as fancy as newer guns, but it performs essentially the same as an 07 cyborg. I could go on and on but this gun is a steal anymore. They will last forever, and nothing is going to out perform it. Even though very few people have heard about it buy it! I have changed my perspective on all other products after using this.

The 04/05 and Sonic Cyborgs are some of the best guns for the money (at the time they were new, and at used prices today). They are EXTREMELY efficient, capable of VERY fast rates of fire, easy to maintain, and are some of the most quality guns you can own. The ONLY down side to them is that they are a tad heavy, and somewhat blocky. Great guns otherwise.

I got my first Borg, an 05 actually, almost a year ago. It was upgraded to start with, so I just added air and a hopper and off I went. I was impressed actually. From what I had learned, they had not really changed the internals at all for three years, from 04 to 07. Well, other than the 07's now had a delrin poppet and different solenoid. I guess, you could say that the boards were now smaller, and they offered more advantages, like changing your rate of fire, and mode of fire.
The Borg was a solid shooter, much like my Viking, but smaller and lighter. What I did not care for as much was the looks. For 2005, I would have thought that that they would have had a nicer mill pattern on them, and I don't care for the Sonic's either.
