Pros: lighter then dm5, accurate
Cons: not that great looking
this gun is generally the exact same thing as a DM5 just with some more milling and rubber pieces put in where they milled it. as all matrixes are, the dmc was very accurate and a very smooth shooter. it also wasnt the best on air, but could do the job you needed in an xball match. if looks arnt that big of a deal for you, id say grab one of these over just the regular dm5. its less likely to scratch and a little more durable. i really never had any problems with the gun. just keep that bolt lubed!

Pros: Shoots great
Cons: Bulky
I just got a DMC in a trade and i must say it shoots great. I got the DMC with a Ultra lite frame so it did not feel very bulky, but i have held DM4s and DM5s and their frames are bulky. The UL Frame will drastically decrease the weight and increase the comfortability. It is a great gun and shoots ball on ball, but as of now they are not worth much because it is a 2005 marker, but its a great gun if you are on a budget.

Dye Precision Dye Matrix Composite (DMC) A great gun for the time it was released. Very accurate and reliable as long you lube the bolt regularly. Recommended upgrades would be orange bolt and a ultra light frame.

i got this in a trade (equivalent to $250), and it's great. used it with reballs during practice and it actually shot better than my dm6. it's almost as light as the 6, but it fits better cus of the stock frame (I'm a big guy). I'm sure that it would be lighter with a UL frame. As it was, i got a Virtue Chip and CP trigger on it, which help out a lot. As a one-time $1800 marker, picking one of these up for around $300 is a steal, and as long as you take care of it, it'll take care of you, like all DM's.

The DMC is a ball on ball accurate gun. Some upgrades that are a must is a ultralite frame because if you dont have one it makes the gun feel kinda bulk and fat. You should also get a orange bolt. But the gun is a very good gun!!! but let me warn you the resale value is very low.

I got this used as my first "high end" marker. I think it really served me well but also left me wanting. Maintenance was a real pain, granted mine was a few years old, and I was constantly needing tweeks to keep it going.

If you are making a decision to buy one of these or a new low end marker in the same range, I would go for the DMC, but I also prefer used cars

Pros: WorkHorse!
Cons: Way to Heavy
Got this gun a few years back just for a back up gun and it has been just a workhorse. I never really had issues with it as long as I maintained it properly. As far as today's standards go this gun is on the heavy side but you have to remember it came out in 2005. But for being as old as it is this gun shoots great. I would highly recommend the UL frame to reduce the bulkyness and weight of the gun. Overall its a great gun and you can pick them up super cheap if your lucky enough to find one for sale.
