Pros: Small, Portable, Good to have for home tuning
Cons: Doesn't always register shots
Performance & Reliability: This chrono gets three stars from me here in both departments because it can be extremely finicky and will not always register your shots, which can lead to no readings. This can get very irritating as you have to move the chrono up and down your barrel until you can find the sweet spot where it consistently gives you a reading. The chrono is stated to read +/- 2, this however is not true as it is not that accurate. I would say it reads closer to +/- 8. With that said the really only descent use for this chrono is backyard tuning, I am not a big fan of fields that use this as their only chrono.

Value: Could be cheaper considering it can be very finicky.

Cons: Not as accurate as larger models.
Picked one up just for fine-tuning when at home. Any tweaks to any gun & i shoot a few balls over this little yellow handheld. Local field also uses these to check velocities before each game or when they want to check a hot shooter.

It's not as accurate as the Big Reds or other higher priced chronographs and sometimes it doesn't register the shots or registers them slower, so it's hard to get good readings if you're checking for drop-off while ripping. But that's not really a big deal - not like i tech guns for a living or anything.

My only real gripe is the battery it takes. They could've designed it so it'd least take a AAA or some other common household battery but no, it's this weird stubby battery that no other electronic device in my house uses.

This is a pretty cool chrono, I as a ref am glad that they did make it Small because I wouldn't want to carry the big red one around! I like the fact that its yellow so you could find it if you dropped it. I like how they made a loop for lanyards to connect to.
The only thing wrong about it could be the price but I say to the people that think they are to expensive well how much are your EYES worth to you? They usually laugh and say good point. Safety is key nothing elses really matters. I also use this chrono when Im done cleaning regs so I can get my marker shooting just right. These chronos are nice and light plus they come in there own bright green case.
all in all these chronos work well and I feel anyone should buy one if you play paintball.

Pros: Portable, quite durable, inexpensive
Cons: not good enough for tuning, 2 digits display only
If you want to catch someone shooting hot, use this.

If you want to tune your gun, use the big red table chrono.

Got this for $60, the manual says it has a +/- 2 % error.

(300/100) x 2 = 6. That's +/- 6 fps of error. Not accurate at all for tuning.

On the other hand, it is plenty enough to make sure everyone plays under 300 fps, or 290, or 250, or whatever your field limit is. It's small; it's light; it's a referee's dream.

It only has a 2 digit display though, so if you chrono your gun and it is shooting 297 fps, the screen will first show a 2, then 97. It'll repeat itself for a few seconds. I won't complain, because it's small and that's more important to many others.

It includes a strip of velcro for you to thread through its holes to hang it under a barrel. I tried to do it and it was a pain. I just held it under the gun.

Appearance: it's pretty hip, and the plastic looks durable, but kinda cheap also.
Performance: margin of error is too wide for tuning, but fine for enforcing field rules.
Reliability: pretty durable.
Value: for $60 for a radar is a good deal, not that you have many other choices at that price anyway.

This chronograph is a great tool at my local field and has always helped me. Whether we play Reball or regular paintball it helps me keep velocity in check. Its finicky concerning where you place it before you shoot, but once you find the sweet spot it will be easy to use. Durable! Has taken many stray shots and lives to tell about it.

Cons: not good to chrono really large groups
This is great for tinkering at home or prechronoing at the field so you don't have to mess with your marker when you get to the official chrono. When I go to the official chrono at the field I am always right on for velocity. It is also highly accurate. I have never seen it less accurate than one of the big field chronos and have even used mine as evidence that a field chrono was off. I hate being in line behind someone who chronos at 320 or 240 and see them turn it about 2fps at a time so they can get to exactly 280. When there is a long line if the field says I am 10 fps under I will go with it.

This would not be good for chronoing a large number of players as you have to reset the button on each shot and if you don't hold it just right it won't register the shot. But if you play outlaw this is a must.

I have had this for almost a year and haven't had to change the batteries yet.

I never had a problem with mine, even if I left it out in the rain overnight, and have to find it the next day.

Value is 5 stars because its the cheapest way to test velocity on renegade fields; and safety is always a 5-star value.

Great for ref spot-checking and for backyard fields; I wouldn't hone your gun's velocity to 300FPS for a tournament using this though; its probably +/- 5.
