When I got back into the sport I was for sure that I wanted the Marq but was quite dissapointed with the reliability. I had a lot of issues with this gun mainly because of the quick disconnect pillow bolt that caused jams. It would also occasionally shoot the pillow out of the gun.
The gun had a lot of good features but the problems I had with it were a huge turn off, they have since fixed these issues but I wouldn't ever shoot this model again

When I opened the box I couldn’t help notice the sleek sexy lines this gun has. The rapper is by far the best looking out of all the Marqs and one of the lightest. The standard board in the gun is not that great and I replaced that immediately with a Tadao Musashi 8, the four eyes was the next upgrade this upgrade makes the Marq 33% faster than any gun on the market. The final upgrade is the pillow bolt and I have not broken a ball in my gun since.
Shooting the Marq
Straight out of the box the gun was shooting 280fps-285fps consistently. The accuracy is amazing very similar to DM. It has quite a bit of kick that can bother a few people. This is by far the most responsive guns I have ever shot, I used to have problem shooting consistent streams with my left hand but with the Marq it is no problem.
On the field
As I said this gun is the most responsive gun out there and shooting consistent 15bps+ on semi is not a problem. The gun is quite light and is a pleasure to slide with. The gun is very accurate when it comes to snap shooting. When I first got the gun (January 08) I was only able to get 4 pods out of a 68/4500 and the gun had quite a bit of kick, now I can easily shoot 7+ pods and the kick as gone down tremendously.
Maintenance
This is a very easy gun to maintain if you do it right. All it needs is a quick lube of the bolt assembly and a bit of gun oil on the bolt and you ready to go. I have the pressure tester which makes life so easy all you do is take out the bolt assembly and pop in the pressure tester and adjust your HPR and LPR according to the instructions.
Conclusion
In the beginning this gun is not the best but if you give it a chance and break it in I can tell you now this will be the best gun you have ever owned. AK Army is proud to be shooting Marq 7’s this year.

When i got my marq it came with the stock bolt and threaded ram. The first time i used this gun it shot incredibly. Its as quiet and has no kick just like a DM. My beef with the stock bolt is the fact i did chop 5 balls out of 1,000 balls. Which is more balls than i chopped with any other gun ive owned. My other problem is the threaded ram. After 1 practice the bolt unthreaded off the ram enough to block off the breech and not let any paint through. The Pillow Bolt is IMO the greatest upgrade for the Marq7 because it almost stops all chopping and has the Quick Disconnect Ram. The QD Ram stops any chances at the bolt unthreading. The feedneck on the marq is an amazing feedneck. One of the lowest profile feednecks on the market, and clamps incredibly well to any hopper. The marq7 is heavier than alot of markers but not heavy enough for anyone to complain about. Another negative is the fact theres no On/Off asa.

I traded my Virtue'd DM7 for this Marq + 100, and i was totally suprised by how it shot compared to the DM7. I prefer the Marq over the DM, but i dont want to make this a Vs. thread.
When i took the Marq to the field, i got tons of questions, comments, and complements about the gun. It was real fast and accurate. Ive shot about 5k paintballs with ZERO chops and barrel breaks (using the stock barrel).
I am perfectly ok with the weight, but alot of people say it is heavy but IT IS NOT.
Marqs, along with other Bob Long markers, do not have the best resale, which is why i am suprised. IMO, they one of the best markers out there. They are fairly cheap compared to other guns, and preform better.
There is nothing i regret about getting this gun, I love it and reccomend it to anyone.
Feel free to PM me with any questions etc.

Had my marq 7 for a few months. It was very reliable and pretty efficient. I shot about 12 pods a game with it. Not the most visually appealing guns in the world but they work well. Never broke any paint, very smooth with the pillow bolt. Stock it definitely had a lot of bounce so you have to adjust the debounce and sometimes the trigger. Little lightwieght as far as current markers go but overrall a good gun for the price.

The first thing everyone notices is the looks. It looks sleek, compact, and unique. Even though the Marq isn't the lightest marker out there, it's weight is distributed evenly, which gives you the impression that it's lighter than it really is. The grips are comfortable, and pretty thin for stock grips. The stock board isn't very adjustable, but it's not a huge deal. This gun is FAST. The stock board comes with all the modes you'll need for a tournament. Some people have a huge problem with the stock board, but it's not bad as everyone tries to make it out to be. The trigger is also great on this gun and very easy to rock on

Appearance: Personally, I think the Marq7 Rapper is the best looking marker out of all of Bob Long's Marq Series Markers. Actually, the Rapper is probably one of the most appealing marker BL has ever created ( I think ). However, even though this marker is very good looking, I wasn't really too impressed on the field.
Performance: Like stated above, I wasn't very impressed with the performance or reliability of the Marq7. Once I finally got to take it out on the field, I was chopping paint and having horrible consistency even with the LPR/HPR tester. When the Marq is shooting it is by far one of the best markers on the field.
Reliability: As you have been reading I didn't have the best of luck with this specific marker. Some other things I had trouble with were leaks. Upon arrival of the Marq, there was a tiny leak around the LPR. So, I bought the LPR/HPR tester to adjust pressure and get it shooting right. That didn't help. A couple days went by and it acquired a barrel leak. So, I replaced all the orings on the engine and still the leak persisted. Finally, after replacing the oring on the LPR, lubing the engine orings, and lubing the solenoid orings the leak finally stopped. Once I had finally got the gun leak free, I replaced the detents and brought it out to shoot. I actually had amazing results after just a few pretty simple tasks. Overall, I would say the Marq is a great shooting gun with great features. It just takes some time to break it in and tune it to perfection.
Value: As you might know, the Marq resale is not the best right now. Stores are selling new Marq's for ridiculously cheap.
I am going to give the Marq7 an 8 out of 10 overall.
