Cons: Nothing really
I had an Imp with eyes for a short period of time. While I owned it, it operated good and shot decent. For the price point it was decent but it was quickly over shadowed by the ion. If would not buy one again but it was a decent marker at the time.

Pros: Bulletproof, smooth
Cons: Heavy, crappy board
Had an 04 vision impulse and still have it to this day. If weight isnt a problem to you and just need a straight shooter go for it! The weight helps smooth out the shot and it barely moves. Theres not much that can go wrong with them. The only flaw would be the board, not much you could do besides semi in vision on or off. But ultimately one of my favorite guns of all times

i loved the look of these things, and around 05-06, you could get them dirt cheap. i got one with a was board the day before my first xball tourny, flashed it that night so it would ramp 15bps the next day, and was good to go. i bought mine fully upped with vision, a function lpr and all kinds of other goodies, and got a great deal on it to boot. it shot nice, was pretty decent on air. but man was it heavy. it was a workout lugging that bigass thing around.

The Impulse with vision was one of the first guns I've ever owned as a paintballer. Although heavy, on the field the gun was a beast. Very accurate and the upgrades that were allowed on the gun were numerous. By far one of my favorite guns I have ever owned. Vision is an absolute must. If the vision didn't work it was a chop machine.

Pros: Vision, Fast
Cons: Heavy
The first batch of the Impulses came in two versions, vision and non vision. Believe it or not this was an extra $200 upgrade. Later this same idea was applied to the SFT Shocker when they came out.

The gun is very square in its milling. Top heavy. But during its time it was one of the top guns made. To this day if you can pick one up for cheap and want to go old school the gun will not fail you.

The LPR is easy to reach on the front under the barrel. The dwell is located on the side of the gun with an allen wrench, which is handy. It is easy to get too and nothing can bump the buttons to change, they are placed deep in the whole. As for models of boards produced, there was the vision and a WAS board, and a speedy 2 board with the cheater ramping code.

Overall a well made gun in its time and place in history. To tell the year of production, if it has Impulse engraved largely on the body-it is older. If it has an Impulse badge, it was one of the later models.
