The Deadly Winds Fibur barrel is a must have for any serious pump player..

It is very light, does not fall apart or unravel like previous carbon fiber barrels and it allows you to match your paint to bore size using Freak inserts.

Do not think twice about picking one of these up.

Pros: Light, quiet, swab-able, one-piece, Freak inserts
Cons: Needs an O-ring to keep it from backing out
I have purchased and own a lot of barrels and barrel kits, including the STIFFI MF, CP 8 Piece Barrel Kit, Invert Whisper Barrel, Critical 100G Kit, Deadlywind Null and of course the Deadlywind Fibur.

Since I got the Deadlywind Fibur, I have not used another barrel. As soon as I put it on, I could feel the balance of my AXE change, it is so light, it also looks great. Then I took my first shot, it is noticeably quieter. Cleaning it easy as any metal barrel, as the smooth bore finish lets me use any swab I like. The one-piece design is so simple, so strong and so clean, I can not understand why FREAK barrels are two pieces?

I have shot about 20 cases though it, usually using the .679 Freak insert, though I have used a .685, .682 and .677 a few times. So far not a single problem and no signs of any wear to the barrel, though the .678 insert is showing some...My point is for 12 bucks, I can shoot a brand new bore, as this one gets scored...though I may try stainless Freak inserts going forward.

Some advise; First, put an O-ring on the collar so the barrel does not get loose though the day. Second, put a dab of lube on the outside of the inserts before inserting them in the barrel. Third, I purchased the entire FREAK insert kit, it is a waste as I only use the underbore inserts, so if I were doing it again, I would only purchase the 4 inserts in the sizes I use.

Of all the other barrels I have owned and tried, this one is my favorite, the only one that comes close is the Critical...

Pros: Uses Freak inserts, swab able
Cons: Doesn't shoot clean
I Have used several other barrels including, dye UL's, Stiffi, Freak, powerlyte, Evil, and a few misc. others.

I bought a USED 14in cocker threaded barrel. I use it on my Invert MINI, and a slew of Mecanical and E-cockers.

Appearance:
Pros: It is a great looking barrel, Clean and sleek. The exterior CF weaving is smooth unlike the the Stiffi barrel. It doesn't have the Obnoxious (IMO) logos, and graphics all over the barrel like Sly.
Cons: Mine was used so take this with a grain of salt. There were a few minor chips on the exterior of the barrel that can oly be seen if you looked close.

Performance:
Pros: I use the SS freak Inserts with the barrel. A problem I had with EVERY Freak barrel I ever used/owned, was that if you looked down the tip of the barrel you will see a circle where the insert meets inside. It should be minimal and be equal all the way around. The freak barrel systems wern't (weather it be bad design, or bad machining/tolerences) . The DW barrel has a very minimal ring and is equal all the way around . This is important because the transition from isnsert to barrel needs to be smooth and seamless as possible

The DW barrel is just a accurate as any other barrel out there with a good Paint to bore match. Unlike any of the other Carbon Fiber barrel, you can use a swab on tha barrel, without fear of unraveling it.

Cons:On the rare occasion I chop paint. It doesn't clean out as well as some have stated. It Cleans out batter than an aluminum barrel, but not good enough to get 20yrd ball on ball shot that I am used to.

Value: THis is a GREAT value is you already have freak inserts. Even if you don't you really only need 3 inserts and I piced up the SS ones new for $15 ea. at my local shop. IMO this is a better barrel than the other Carbon Fiber barrels available (Stiffi, Sly). I would also make a recomondadtion to use the SS inserts as they do not fluxuate with temperature and are stronger. The Aluminum ones are Garbage IMO.

Recently purchased the 14" autococker threaded version from deadlywind directly. Extremely fast shipping and an excellent product, shoots very quiet and accurately with an appropriate freak insert. The inside of the barrel's tip appears dirty, but this is just due to the carbon fiber showing through the clear resin coating and does nothing negative for performance.

Overall my favorite barrel of all time.

Cons: orings wear out with a lot of use
Overall Ive been extremley happy with my DW Fibur. Its the best barrell Ive owned. Only gripe is the oring inside the barrel that holds the inserts in. I have had them wear out prematurley in my opinion. When they wear out your insert is allowed to slide in the barrel. I ran into this problem with my phenom. The worn out oring let my insert come loose and the bolt became lodged in the insert. (Game ender) The fibur also has a problem with the phenom. (Deadlywinds has a fix now) The insert slides in too far allowing the paintball to strike the first portion of the barrell resulting in a lot of breaks. Deadlywinds has addressed this problem with a small insert to take up the spacing thus eliminating the problem.

Pros: 1-piece,Carbon Fiber,Takes Freak Inserts
Cons: None discovered as of yet
I picked this up sometime in January and I've only gotten to put about 2 cases throught it, but I must say that I'm really impressed with this barrel. It's carbon fiber, so it's super light-weight. It takes Freak inserts, and I have found (so far) the Freak to be the most comprehensive kit on the market and it includes a few bores that are towards the smaller end of the spectrum that I haven't yet seen other kits carry. I'm of the "good barrel to paint match equals better accuracy and efficiency" school because here we have to get one fill in town and then try to play all day on 2800psi, and that number is usually closer to 2k. Other barrels may be slightly more accurate if you can match the paint to the barrel, but they lack the ability to match as many bores. I'm yet to find anything that matched my old stainless Boomy shooting Anarchy (circa 2002), but this barrel comes close. I've dug with it a few times (our field is basically hard dirt with rocks) and surprisingly to me, it wasn't nicked or bent in half like I expected. Also, I've heard that other CF barrels have had a tendency to come apart if you swab them. I personally haven't had this happen with the Fibur (I also haven't had any barrel breaks yet, so yeah... ) Anyway, hoped this helped someone and have fun.
