Ill start by saying I love this barrel. It goes on every one of my guns and most of my team mates run them as well. Barrel is very light and is swabable. Freak inserts make this my go to for any size of paint. Just can't beat it.

My only ding for this barrel is the first one I got wasn't bored correctly and my inserts would hang up in the sleeve. DW replaced it tho no problem and all is well in the world.

Pros: Accurate
Cons: Jewels always fall off
Agree with all the positive feedback. I love the light weight, accuracy, durability, and the adjustable Freak system bore sleeves. I'm on my third Deadly Wind barrel, and it has become the most popular choice at my paintball field. Speaking of carbon fiber barrels, I noticed it really comes down to player preference. Try borrowing different barrels before making a decision, but if you go with Deadly Wind I don't see how you can go wrong.

Con: Don't get disappointed when the logo jewel falls off. It eventual happened on all of my three barrels. Deadly Wind should use better glue or something. I noticed it looks a little ghetto when it falls off.

Pros: Light weight, quiet, freak inserts
Cons: Sometimes tough to remove inserts
Picked up a DW barrel a few years ago and absolutely love it. Very light but very durable. I've dropped my marker on the barrel, buried the tip and general abused it to no ill effects. Not even a scratch. Shoots clean and you can use a swab on it.

Freak inserts allow for great paint matching and make the barrel excellent for use on snipers. Highly recommended

I have also picked up a DW Null barrel, which is the same carbon fibur barrel but not bored for freak inserts. It brings the price of the barrel down but as I use in on a sniper, roll outs become an issue. Use of a barrel sizer kit such at TechT iFit is recommend in paint to barrel matching is a necessity, otherwise a great barrel for a great price.

Deadly Wind Fibur CF Barrel Major upgrade to stock barrel. The 14" is accurate at 60' and is quieter than my freak 14"two piece. Also takes all my freak inserts.

Deadly Wind Fibur CF Barrel I owned a deadly wind barrel for a few months. Ball flight was accurate, cleaned through breaks well enough, but felt like I was going to break the barrel easily.

Well match the paint to the stainless Freak insert, attach to my Threshold/G3 Spec-R, FX, go play paintball.
Makes things a little quieter, more consistent, looks sweeeet, light/easy to point.
Gotta make sure to keep grit out of the barrel (like all barrels really), umm... that's about it.
Play on!
