this gun started woodsball for me. it has lasted me through thick and thin. this gun has so many upgradable options too. i have a flatline, RT, Commando stock, Tac-cap, A-2 foregrip, low-profile X7 hopper, APEX, SP 14" barrel. yea so theirs a lot more upgrades than what i have but you get the picture. you can run CO2 or N2 through this gun. i do recommend you use nitrogen only especially if you use an e-trigger.

Cons: air hungry
The Response trigger is great!

You can get really high bps for a mechanical marker. I went up to 22 bps with it. All this, with having to care about batteries or anything.

It's a great marker that you can pick up at any time and play with. No matter how long it has been accumulating dust. And still shoot many paintballs per seconds.

Overview-This is a pretty nice gun if your going to play woodsball and thats it. The only thing is that if your going to spend 200 dollars you might as well get a slg or something.
Pros- This gun could probably last a lifetime.
Cons- The first time I used the gun the for grip ****ing fell off hahahah. I was playing the whole game without it. The only huge complaint i have is this gun guzzles gas like none other.

Pros: Endless upgrade opportunities
Cons: 4x20 scope didn't fit.
This is the best paintball marker I have ever owned. I had it with a factory installed WAS-board allowing different fire modes. The only complaint I have is that I wasn't able to fit my 4x20 scope on it. The rail was correct but the hopper was in the way. Granted there may be some sort of mod to fix that problem.

Incredibly reliable. Never chopped a ball. The only scenario-paintball gun you'd ever need.

Another thing I loved was that there were endless upgrades you could get and/or install to this gun. Lots of aftermarket parts available.

Pros: Looks, RELIABILITY, Customization, Cyclone
Cons: Air, Speedball, heavy (not too bad)
I got this used for $95.00 form my local field. But a few ups made it incredible!
My setup right now is:
Sly Profit Mask
Tippmann A5
14" J&J Ceramic Barrel
Adjustable Stock
Remote Line
GxG Tactical Vest
Low Profile Hopper
Offset Rail
Red Dot Sight
MP5SD Shroud
48/3000 Pure Energy Tank
And my custom woodland camo paint-job!

Straight up, stock everything, this gun isint amazing, its on par with the 98c besides the cyclone.

BUT
With upgrades this gun is a BEAST.
My accuracy over 36 feet or so has grouping within 4 inches! I Love IT! I even made a video which ill be putting up on YouTube comparing the stock barrel to the J&J Barrel.

The other stuff is mainly cosmetic. Stock Is HELPFUL! GET ONE! So is the remote line and vest! I had a harness and now i have a vest. Dont get a cheap harness! Get a vest! The sight is useful if sighted in, but is hard to look down with a mask, that's why i have an offset rail.

The weight didnt bother me too much, because i had a remote line >. But still, I'm only 14 years old! 5'8 and 110 pounds! But i am an athlete so that helps massively. I was on the field for around 7 hours playing, hardly ever putting down my gun.

The cyclone feed has no complaints from me! It can easily feed at 15+ bps WITHOUT cyclone upgrades. With some TechT upgrades it is said to achieve over 30+ BPS! I have not broken a ball yet even! So I don't even know if I need Squishy Paddles.

Air inefficiency is OK, but I only use a 48/3000. I got around 500 shots from one fill. If you get a 68/4500 then I assume you can get around 1000+ Shots.

The next upgrades that I would want would be a:
Double trigger or a Fang Trigger.
Response trigger or E-Grip.
Squishy Paddles.

Overall, I love it! I even out-shot a couple guys with E-Teks! I got it for $95 too! Whats not to love! I spent about $315 TOTAL ON EVERYTHING for it.

Pros: Reliable, looks great, accurate, durable
Cons: heavy with air tank and flat line
I bought the Tippmann A5 with a flat line barrel (which works and looks phenomenal) a TechT Fang Trigger. The gun is very reliable, durable, upgradable, accurate and has a great rate of fire for a milsim marker. I love it. I would suggest getting a flat line barrel not because the stock barrel is bad its actually pretty accurate but because it gives you that extra 100 ft and the better accuracy and you don't even have to arch your shot because it puts a back spin on the ball so it goes straight. I give it a 10/10. Get this marker its good for amateurs or intermediate.

Pros: Looks cool, mods
Cons: quality/maintainance/size/expensive for badquality
Bought an a-5 because I had heard that Tippman made great markers. First day out, cyclone feed jammed constantly, then the bolt jammed. To clean the bolt and breach I had to disassemble the whole marker! What an insane design! I moved to the A-5 from a Spyder, and I have an old Ion XE as well, but wanted something with a little grit in the look. In the Spyder if I break a ball, which happens, I pop the bolt pin up, pull the bolt out, swab the chamber and put the bolt back in. Done. I can even do it while playing. Not so on the A-5. I have to disassemble the whole thing.

And the size! The fact that the bolt system take up all of the marker, and the chamber is the very tip, 5" in front of the trigger is ridiculous. Add a 14" barrel and it's like walking around with a spear! The size of the cyclone feed hanging off to the right also made the balance really odd for me.

Perhaps I got a bad marker. But I'm not willing to give it another chance. Back to the shop it went. I bought it for the mod capability and the fact that the company is still in business and parts and upgrades are still produced, but I won't try an a-5 or 98 again. I might give a Phenom or TPX a chance because of the blow forward bolt, but I lost a lot of respect for Tippman.
