Tippmann Sports - A-5 Reviews
Tippmann Sports A-5 Great Gun! Only problem is it needs to be upgraded right out of the box... The barrel is trash and one of your best options would be a LAPCO bigshot barrel, also a regulator is a great investment...

Great Gun!
Only problem is it needs to be upgraded right out of the box...
The barrel is trash and one of your best options would be a LAPCO bigshot barrel, also a regulator is a great investment because it does suck up so much air or CO2.

Tippmann Sports A-5 used this gun a few times. great style of gun. only downside that i can think of off the top of my head is that it uses air quickly. not the most efficient marker but still a great marker to use.

Tippmann Sports A-5 I got this gun used for my father. I knew he'd like woodsball more... Well let me say, this gun is DAMN RELIABLE. You could throw it across the street, pick it up, and still shoot the passing car....

Well let me say, this gun is DAMN RELIABLE. You could throw it across the street, pick it up, and still shoot the passing car. It was a gas guzzler though. It was pretty heavy, and the cyclone feed stuck out so it was a big target, but the cyclone feed did feed fast.

Overall - Reliable, nice marker for woodsball/scenario play.

alright this is my review for the Tippmann A-5 paintball marker

Pros: this gun is a great gun for both starters and veterans. it's got quick release pins, making it easier to disassemble, many upgrading options, a variety
of mil-sim and speedball. very durable, almost never jams, worth the money, and will never let you down

Cons: the downside the the Tippmann A-5 is it will suck up co2, n2, whatever,
like it needs it to live. also, you can't use force feed hoppers and the hopper itself is just a nice big target.

Conclusion: in conclusion, this gun is a great gun and if you can deal with the fact that it uses alot of co2 and what not, then this gun is the gun for you.

Pros: Cheap, Reliable, like an AK47
Cons: Large hopper, stock barrel
The A5 is an amazing marker. I got mine for insanely cheap and I love it. Its a 1st gen marker so the response trigger is harder to instal. But its not needed. Ive sent like 4000 balls through and never had a break in the gun. The only downfall is the cyclone feeder, but this is also what makes it amazing. You will always be fed a ball unless you run out. Mine is at least 9 years old and it has all the original parts except the ball detent. This is the AK 47 of paintball guns.

Mine has very few mods. I have polished the internals, this makes it shoot better and smoother. After polishing the internals I went from 290ish FPS to about 305 FPS, I had to slow the velocity to be legal at a field.

I upgraded to HPA, it was cheap and its much better than co2. The final thing that has been done is a 14 inch tippmann barrel. The barrel is much better than the stock one. Its now insanely accurate.

This gun is very simple to maintain, you will rarely have to take the gun apart, although I do after every time I shoot. For a normal quick clean you pop out 4 pins and the entire system pops out. I can clean mine in about 3 minutes (not including drying). This cleaning is after getting a hit on the marker.

I cant praise this gun enough. I would buy more without thinking about it if I had the money. My brother has one and he loves it, never found someone who doesnt like it for a starter to mid range gun.
