Cons: Bolt SOMETIMES sticks
I got this gun a while back, and right off the bat i slapped a shroud and stock on it, and bought a remote line since i sold my old one after i bought a speedball marker. This gun is stellar, especially for the price you pay! around, what, $250 after tax normally? I got mine on sale. Wit a better barrel, this thing's a beaut. Reliable, strong and versatile, and not to mention (arguably) the most customizable marker on the market. The low profile hopper it great, i love it. Cyclone feed blows me away. Unjamming rod is a sweet edition, too. Great beginner marker, and also a stellar base for more of an experienced player. At the end of the day I'd recommend this marker to anyone. It's legendary.

But what's a good review without some dirt, right?

Well, while I adore my A5, there are some very minor ... imperfections, with the gun. Nothing's perfect. Sometimes, when I fire it, the bolt doesn't cock back fully so I have to cock it back manually, and unfortunately it happens more than just seldom (If anyone knows how to fix that, please feel free to pm me!). Another con is my shroud, the Killhouse Weapons Systems 416 shroud, was really, really difficult to install straight. It was easy to install crooked, but not straight. Then again that's more the shroud's fault than the gun's.

Bottom line? It's a tippmann A5, it's legendary and beautiful. Buy one while they're hot (but then again will they ever go cold?)

Tippmann Sports A-5 Great gun for woodsball. A lot of customization can be done. Great service. It can be a bit heavy.

Tippmann Sports A-5 Its an ok looking gun but if you put an e-triger on it becomes an awsome gun if you like playing woods ball, not so much for speed ball. It a good and reliable gun for beginers.

The tippmann a5 is one of the most customizable markers I have ever seen, you can customize it to look like an MP5 or as an M4. The great thing about the A5 is that you could buy a magazine conversion for it which i have done. Its a pretty cool gun for the price. The only thing i don't like is that the air source adapter is like an asa and it doesn't make sense why it wold be done.

Tippmann Sports A-5 This is my favorite out of my 7 guns. I has amazing accuracy, it never chops, full auto is great, and it's DURABLE. The ONLY complaint is that it doesn't have weaver rails

The A-5 is an awesome gone for what it is meant for - a rugged, reliable woodsball marker. Out of the box, it is not very air efficient, but there are several upgrades available to improve efficiency. The gun is pretty big, and adding any of the millions of milsim parts will make your gun 1. look more like a real gun and 2. weigh a ton. Overall, I would recommend it to a beginner rec baller.

Pros: RELIABLE, Easy Maintenance, Easy to Mod
Cons: A bit heavy with certain mods
Ive had my A-5 since 2005 and have little to no complaint. It was my first gun and will probably stay in collection til the bitter end!

Pros:
Reliable - I cant stress this enough. If you take care of it and keep the o-rings oiled and maintained it will not fail you.

Maintenance - Easy field strip and total tear down is a matter of a few screws. 5-6 O-rings and thats it.

Easy to Mod - Mil-Sim mods are widely available as well as electronic & trigger upgrades. Highly suggest the J&J Ceramic barrel in 14" or 16".

Cons:
Weight - The only drawback to the A-5 at times is the weight. While the A-5 can be used on the rec field, during a Mil-Sim game, or even on a speedball field, it is by no means as light as an Axe or other popular electronic markers. This is all dependent on the mods or add-ons you choose to add.

All in all...the A-5 is a great starter marker with lots of options for mods and add-ons. Highly Recommended!
