I think CP shorty regs are one of my favorites because of the ease of it.
it's simple, and it's small, lightweight, consistent. never had any problems. i could shoot 7 cases before it starts showing inconsistency. it's a great regulator for the price. people complain about CP products but i haven't had a problem with them.
the maintenance is very simple. taking it apart is a little difficult though.
if you are looking for a new reg i recommend this.

Had one on my very first Ion. The regulators were very new when I got mine and I had heard nothng but good things. Sadly, I was let down. The stock Ion regulator outperformed the CP Regulator over the chronograph. No matter what, the regulator would not yield consistent velocities. I finally just traded it for a Hyper 2 which performed flawlessly.

Ive had several guns with this regulator on it, all suffered from the same problem to maintain consistency at a low PSI. feel good in the hand, guage port options, bottom input so your macro fittings are out of the way. A little pricey, but most aftermarket regs are. Most stock regs are very good these days. So only upgrade if you NEED to.

its a decent reg for the money, but in my experience with around 4-5 different cp regs, all had catastrophic failures when the reg seat was damaged.
they dont perform as well as others (aka, hyper, glad)
they perform well enough and are really light and attractive, but my numerous bad experiences have led to me refusing any trades or deals involving guns with cp regs.
