Planet Eclipse Etek2 The etek 2 is a great marker and has many good features but is very loud and is harsh on some brands of paint.

now I might have a biased opinion because I've never shot one of these stock, but my upgraded one shoots like a dream. It is a 1-100 finish line etek 2 with a zick kit, cure 3+ bolt, green laser eyes, star frame and a cp 2 piece barrel. this thing is a laser maker I can play super tight with it.the things I don't like are the asa knob spins all the way off. the griping in the front regulator. you can't wrap your hand over top of the barrel because of the lpr sticking out, and you can't wrap your thumb around the reg because its too close to the trigger guard . added a grip to it and solved that problem. other tha those two things its one of the best shooters I've had. its a workhorse.

Pros: It's Planet Eclipse
Cons: It's an eTek
I owned an Etek3 for about 2-3 months and played with it about 5 or 6 times. I just am not a fan of the Etek series. I mean it's a nice marker and it's super reliable, I just think if I am going to spend a few hundred on a gun, I would have rather bought a model year or two older of a regular Ego. The trigger pull on the Etek is too stiff for my liking.

Pros: The marker has a nice look its air efficent.
Cons: Short Battery Life, the stock grip is fat.
I got the marker a year ago in december at my local store. Couldn't wait to get it open an out of the box to use for my tournament season. The marker shoots great but you can make it a little better with upgrades like the cure bolts, zick kits, star frames, feedneck ect. I upgraded my stock black etek with a white feedneck, eye cover, ect. I put on a star frame which is nice to have a screen on the gun to operate easily, a cure 2 to shoot any brittle paint or wateva, and a zick kit didn't really see a difference wit the kick or anything with it. The gun is great and i love it just wish everyone would wont the gun and the price would go up so i can sell it for more later.

Freakin awesome marker. This for me was an upgrade from an Invert Mini - I had to take some time to get used to the weight and length but besides that I love this marker. I up'd it with a Cure2 bolt, zick kit, and star frame and it has worked perfectly for me since I bought it. I have only ever chopped once, and it was after I superman'd into a huge puddle (while using crappy paint I might add). Has never failed on me, and all the wear parts last forEVER. Overall awesome marker!

Pros: Fast, gentle, accurate, battery life, no kick
Cons: Inefficient, loud, no qev
I picked an etek up about a week ago from a pawn shop for $200, and it came with a Virtue OLED board and Virtue laser eyes. I've shot about 1200 rounds through it and only had one break after turning the eyes off. With eyes on it hasn't broken paint yet even with the stock bolt and the velocity too high (haven't been able to chrono-tune it yet). It's just as accurate with the stock barrel as my friends Invert Mini with a Freak Jr. kit, so I can't imagine how much more accurate it will be once I get a kit and match the paint to bore size. My only complaint is that it is very inefficient with air. I shot 3 hoppers through it on one 48/3000 tank, while my friend shot 3 through his Mini and has over 1000 psi left. My next upgrades are going to be the newer Ego regulator and the Hush bolt, which will definitely boost efficiency, and the cp rake trigger since I personally hate the stock one. Otherwise, the gun is perfect. Great starter, and can still keep up with the high end markers.

Pros: light, easy to work with, easy to personalize
Cons: stock frame, bolt
i bought the gun about a month ago and have only been able to test it a few times, and play once. With the testing, it was made evident that a cure 2 bolt is a must upgrade since it was breaking everything i put through it (RPS super swirl)..even though i found out i was shooting at 350 fps, the field paint i used to chrono didnt break at all, even at the high pressure...

when i was trying to adjust modes, the light system is a litte confusing because you have to remember what each set of blinking lights means...i have since purchased a star frame and wont look back, the LCD display is amazing.

From comparing it to some of the egos that team mates use, with the star frame, they are identical guns

Edit: Played more, as one would hope, and found you need a fast loader to keep up,
Edit: been playing with teams like Boom and others and let me tell ya, i love it more and more every time. with gurilla Air and rotor set up, this marker is great....i only want an Ego 10 now just to have a stud primary and secondary

Con: screws on eye covers get sloppy
