Cons: accuracy, looks
I bought one of these barrels for an old shocker I had. It was cheap and was threaded correctly. To my knowledge, they only made the AA backs in the standard bore size, so the accuracy was never as good as the freak due to the paint-bore match. The AA barrel was also pretty plain looking, although I did like the variety of tips available. For its price, it was a very solid barrel.

-Only one: the front I ordered wasn't the right color....

Seriously, when the color is the only against... I loved it on my ProStock, it made my setup super balanced and if it wasn't for the fact that it would make my Quest look like a shocker, I'd be rocking one now.

Pros: Accurate, QUIET!
Cons: Hard to clean ball breaks
The SP All American barrel has been around since the mid 90's. There is a reason the barrel has survived all this time, it's that GOOD! If you can find one of the old style AA's, I highly recommed you get it. The old AA's are a 2 piece barrel held together w/ epoxy. They have a 8" control bore which is great for accuracy. The ported end piece makes the barrel the most quiet barrel I have ever shot. One problem with the numerous porting is it makes shooting through breaks almost impossible(I knocked one star off performance for this). Not a huge problem as I always cary a squeegy. The all aluminum version is very light. The stainless steel/aluminum version weights a bit more but will also hold it's bore size better in adverse weather as tempatures will not effect it as it would the all aluminum version. The stainless also has a very nice bling factor to it. The all aluminum is kinda plain(I knock one star from apperance for this). Since my paintball beginnings in 1997 I have used AA barrels on M98's, Cockers & Shockers. I have tried 20-30 barrels over the years for all these guns. I didnt give up daily use of my AA's untill the SP Freak came out. So now I use an AA tip on my Freak.

Pros: nice looking, two peice
Cons: bad with horrible paint
i think any barrels by SP is good but all american is one of the tops under freak but the only thing the i do not like about the all american barrels are that they cant shoot very well when using a bad garde of paint like if you use heat paint it will shot great but anything shoting under goodish paint that does not have bubbles, dents, pretty much like $25 box of 2000 rounds would not be good for the barrel.

I have used an All American barrel since 2004, and no other barrel I have tried has performed as well. I have tried carbon fiber, carbon fiber w/ different bore sizes, and insert barrel systems and none of them seem to be as consistently accurate when using all kinds of paint. I will give it a 9/10

Very mid-level barrel. There are better, there are worse. It came stock with my Impulse years ago. I used it shortly, and then upgraded. I wouldn't put this on a high-end marker, but for things like Ions and Spyders, it'll get the job done.

Other than that, its just a hollow tube with threads.
