Pros: Terry Cloth thumb, comfort, protection
Cons: None that I can think of
These gloves definately show the quaility you would come to expect from Planet Eclipse. They are comfortable. Provide the protection I want and the terry cloth thumb is good for wiping off paint after a match. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a glove that provides good protection and allows you fingers the freedom to roll on the trigger.

Cons: middle divider thing, awkward at first
Bought these a few years back because they were cheap and I was gonna cut the fingers off new gloves anyways. Quality and worksmanship on the gloves are spot on. Lots of padding and the wrist strap felt great. At first the little divider thing between your middle and ring finger felt stiff and awkward. Eventually kinda molded to my hand. Loved these gloves

Cons: A bit too bulky, dont like the quick release strap
These are alright gloves. I got these gloves with the hope that they would provide some padding for my hands but not het in the way of my shooting.

Overall, I think they are over-engineered.

There is too much padding. It makes you hands feel bulky and hard to move, plus it looks weird.

The quick-release strap doesn't work at all and just gets in the way and comes un-done.

I honestly don't like these gloves but that is just my preference. If you like over-padded gloves then these are for you.

These are great gloves. I've had no issues with grip with these gloves. I've had a few bounces off the padding on the back. The closure system ensures that these gloves stay in place throughout diving and sliding.

I would highly recommend these gloves.

Pros: Open Fingers, Padding, Wrist Support
Cons: Strap, Grip
Pros
I like the open fingers on these. When I first wore these gloves the middle divider on the fingers felt awkward. After wearing the gloves for a while and playing in them the awkward feeling went away and they felt more natural. The Padding on these gloves are GREAT. I've had MANY bounces and love it every time. These have great wrist support so no worries about messing up your wrists.

Cons
The support strap is nice for the support but it really does get in the way for a snake player like myself. On my gloves (this may be different for others) the strap ends directly on the bottom of my wrist where my hand grinds on the ground as I slide. This creates a lot of friction with the velcro. You also get a lot of dirt, grass, ect. stuck in the velcro after sliding. The grip on these gloves isn't the greatest. The thumb is covered with cloth (the tiny logos on the thumbs may have been intended to help improve grip, but they don't) which can be annoying when you slip on pulling pods.

Overview
Overall I like these gloves though they do have things they could improve. Make sure you are aware of the cons I stated before purchasing.

Cons: Price, construction quality
I enjoy the protection these gloves give. I forget I'm wearing them as they're fingerless. Unfortunately, after only two days of play, I have stitching coming loose around two the fingers. I didn't snag them, they are just wearing out already.

Pretty disappointing. I will sew them up, but will probably look elsewhere for my next pair. I don't mind paying good money for good quality, but I don't feel that's what I received.

Pros: Comfort
Cons: Stitches on the newer gloves
I had a pair of the original Gauntlets when they were first released, and they were terrific. The padding was good, and the stitches held up well under any conditions. After four years, they were finally wearing out a bit and I decided to pick up a new pair. The newest pair has been pretty disappointing; the stitches on the velcro on the gloves didn't make it three practices before starting to come apart. I'm glad that they retained the padding, and they fit well, but regular use shouldn't tear the velcro off in the first month.

The ratings that I provided are middle of the road, based on how happy I was with the first pair I owned and how disappointed I've been in my second pair.

Pros: Padding, Comfort, Open fingers
Cons: Quick release strap, grip
Pros - First thing I noticed about these gloves when I got them was the padding. There's a lot of it over the knuckles and since I've been were these I can't remember the last time I had a ball break when hitting my hand. They are very comfortable as well the sizing was great for me and I'm all about open fingered gloves. I noticed one of the other reviews said they had material on the thumbs but the pair I have doesn't. Looks like they fixed that problem.

Cons - The whole quick release strap seems a bit much. When I'm already strapping the glove around my wrist, I don't feel like the extra Velcro strap is all that necessary. My biggest gripe with them is they don't have much grip. I guess PE thought all they needed was some rubbery type logo. I feel like if they added more of the sticky material between the thumb and forefinger they would hold so much better.

Overall pretty good gloves. Gotta love the extra bounce factor and and long as you're not pansy gripping your marker the weak grip shouldn't be an issue.
