the pmr was my first electro-pneumatic paintball gun. it was a great gun for the money. i paid 350 and was very happy with how i spent that money. i bought the gun before they put the ultralite frame package with the gun, so i didnt buy the ul frame. gun shoots extremely quick, efficiency is incredible, and the looks of it are awesome. weighs in at about 2 pounds which is awesome with a nice carbon fiber tank and vlo. all in all, money well spent!

The Locking feedneck on this gun is made of plastic and it broke. The frame is made of plastic and when you plug in the tank it feels like the frame is about to crack in half. The whole gun is almost made of plastic
After the 100 dollars i spent to get this thing to work it shot good in my backyard. I took it to the field today and aired it up and had a leak out of the backcap again.
I am very disapointed in this gun. Proto could of done better.

Ok I got my pmr for christmas and I love it. So here are the Pros and Cons that I have found out of my PMR:
Pros:
It is really cheap and you def. get what you pay for if not more.
It is light unlike other cheap "high end" guns for this price
The stock board is very good for being stock. Has everything you need.
Doesn't need many ups. Just maybe a feedneck and trigger and maybe on/off
Cons:
It will leak sometimes.
It has a LOT of o-rings on the bolt and if they break its hard to find one thats broke
May need to get a new feedneck and on/off.

I have used this gun for 2 months and those 2 months were the worst I have ever had. I hated the gun so much. I have personally had a bad time with this gun. It kept breaking when I'd dive into the snake kind of hard. It had a lod of kick, and was just straight hard to shoot with the stock trigger. It had bad accuracy and it was just a big mess of crap. I hate it. And remeber people:
THIS IS MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!! DON'T GET ALL PISSY ABOUT MY REVIEW!!!

Proto Paintball Proto Matrix Rail (PMR)This gun is very reliable i would suggest it any day. Few minor upgrades needed. i would suggest new back cap and trigger. if u have enough get the dye ul frame and new barrel. Overall a great gun

Alright guys here it is plain and simple. I have an 08-09 Proto PMR, it is a great gun at the price you pay for it 180-270$. Great value. Just remember to constantly take care and lube the bolt (It's a very finicky gun). I only put an empire/invert nightstick on it and it increases accuracy and sound signature. Looks great, shoots great. I lost my manual and totally forgot how to change modes, if someone could send me a link I'd love them.

The PMR isn't a bad marker at all for someone perhaps first experimenting with Speedball or Electronic Markers. I happened to have a Tadao board in mine, which allowed me to shoot at many different speeds and styles. But with the stock board, you had 3 or 4 different modes. The marker was very reliable, never had issues with it at all. The only negative thing about the marker is that it has a significant amount of O-Rings. I happened to lose one when cleaning my marker once, and I had to buy a $25 dollar kit with +50 O-Rings in it. I then had to figure out which was which. Another things I didn't like was when removing the board, if for any reason you would, I always had an extremely difficult time getting the power buttons back in. They would always fall out and it was irritating.
Otherwise, this is a good marker for the speedball player on a budget, or not on a serious team. It certainly gets the job done.
