I have owned this gun for a little more than a year now and couldnt be happier with this gun. When I bought it at my local store, I also bought the New Designz backcap, asa on/off, and feedneck which makes a huge difference on performance and looks. So when I got home, I wanted to get used to taking the bolt out and stuff like that. It really couldnt be easier especially with the aftermarket backcap which doesnt and hasnt stripped. Im really impressed with this bolt that they made. Its small, light, easy to lube, and very reliable. So then I went out to the field. I heard great things about sonsistency and they were not lying when they said this was consistant. It was +/- 2 every shot. And then after breaking in the hyper 2, it was +/- 1. I had the gun on semi to get used to the trigger. People say they hated the trigger but I dont see whats not to like. Its comforatble, and easy to adjust. Ok. THIS GUN RIPS. I cant recall over the past year ever breaking a ball with the rail. And of course with the stock barrel its not the straightest rope youve ever seen. I recommend the Proto 14" 1-piece. Its affordable, and looks good and very accurate. Even after a year I am very happy with this gun. Im sad that I need to sell it for sponsor reasons. I give it a 4 on value due to the stock parts. But fortunately they do not cost hundreds to upgrade.

I got my PMR around July. All I can say is that is is a phenomenal gun! Now on to the review. I am kind of bummed that it is in the "low en electronic" section, because it performs like a high end.
Appearance- It has great milling, it flows with the rest of the gun.
Performance- Great for a gun for $275. Performs like the DMs and Egos at my field. I can let off a string of shots with ease.
Reliability- Very reliable gun, but I have enountered some problems. I tripped up while I was playing woodsball, and the plastic feedneck broke. But no worries, I replaced it with a CP clamping feedneck. Very nice btw.
Value- Definently worth the $275. One of the best investments you will ever make in the world of paintball.
Upgrades- I would try and replace the plastic parts, which is what I did.
Backcap-The plastic one can and probably will strip-so I would replace it asap. New Designz or CP backcaps would be a solid choice.
Trigger-The stock trigger is pretty good imo. But I upgraded it to the UL trigger, which is nice also.
Barrel-The stock barrel is one of the best stock ones I have ever shot. It is really accurate and just a good all-around barrel.
ASA- I got the NDZ qwil-flip on/off asa to replace the old asa. I really suggest an on/off, they allow you to screw in your tank without airing up your gun.

The PMR is a great gun but you need to pay alot more to get it working as it should. first of all you should get a new barrel because the stock barrel stinks. then a back cap and a on/off. The trigger is ok but i recomend a new on. really you should pay about $450. if you get all those parts the PMR is a great marker.

Ever since I heard of the Pmr I was wanting one. And somehow at christmas, It found it's way under my tree. Needless to say I was eager to monkey with it, and After it's first day of play on the following saturday, I loved the thing to death. I found it balanced well with my Halo and heavy alluminum tank just about right below the back cap. Over all I was very pleased with it's performance out of the box, even on a 68* humid day with rain (yeah, the weather is kinda crazy in virginia). I didn't really play hard with it, as nobody wants to break a brand new marker, I found that it shot roughly as far and a little more accurate than some of the other guys' faltlines and such.
Problems
Within the first day of owning this stellar piece of pneumatic engineering, I was changing the firing modes and such, and one of the wires came loose from it's joint. So, I took it back and got it fixed real quick. After lubing it after it's trial by fire on saturday, it developed a leak form the ASA fitting, due to the plastic fitting somehow breaking. Fixed that, and it seemed as though it kept finding a new leak everytime I fixed it up. o-rings, macroline, solenoid and now back cap. which are all easy fixes, but frustrating. And due to a shortage of funds right now I can't go out and buy a new back cap for it right now, but that should be the end of it's problems.
Performance
I was very pleased with this marker, right out of the box chronoing at 285 -/+ maybe 6-10 Fps. Found out also that this thing is a gas hog compared to my Triumph, I got roughly a full halo; 180 balls, and 3 140 round pods with about 300 Psi left in my 48/ 3000 psi tank. Which for me is no problem seeing as how my pack only holds 3 pods and I tend to play more front now. I forgot to fill after one match of using my halo and 2 pods so, as I ran lower on air, i began to chop, and I found that this thing shoots through chops very well. I had almost no residue left after one maybe two shots.
Overall
I was very pleased with my purchase and reccomend this marker to anyone in the 200- 300 dollar price range. It has some good looks to it, it's very light, very uprageable and easilly maintained. Generally, maintenance includes changing or lubing an o-ring or two and is very easy. Keep in mind, you may want to eventually spend some money on either metal parts (1. back cap, 2. feedneck, 3. trigger, 4. frame.) or spending the extra $25 on the Pmr Se, with many metal parts for the price of one seperatley.

so right off the bat i loved it i took it out of the box and was amazed at how light the marker was much lighter then my old gun (A-5) of course. i put it together and went to test it out i was amazed at how well it shot. after some time i began putting ups on it many to choose from and each one making your marker custom to you. ive had no issues with it because i know and do take care of it. There are no problems with this marker as long as you take care of it. i would recommend this gun to anyone i love it go get one now!!!

Performance: Shoots Smooth, with a good trigger our ready to go.
Cons:
Looks/Material: Like the Ion, it is not all completely anodized, and has some typee of composite. Although this is what makes it cheaper, it still isnt the best on the eyes.
Reliability: Unlikemy other experiences with the Proto guns, the PMR seems to give me more difficulties. It does not have the FUSE bolt and it just isnt as user-friendly as some would probably want it.

The pmr is an amazing marker for people who are just getting into paintball and want a good performing marker that will keep them close to the more advanced players. I dont know how this marker is right out of the box since I bought it used, but I love it and how it performs on the feild. on my pmr I have a ul frame, j&j edge ceramic barrel kit, contract killer clamping feedneck, orange bolt, and an on/off ASA. All of these ups make this marker BEAST!! Im pretty sure its beast bnib/lnib but mine came with thses ups except the barrel. In conclusion I say that you buy this gun as a back up, or if you are new to this amazing sport. If you want more bang for your buck and dont want a pmr and your are aiming higher then go for a used dm6/pm6
Oo and since the price went down the pmr is an even more irresitable marker.
