I have been using this Draxxus Xball Gold for as long as i can remember. These paintballs are amazing. They shoot straight, cold weather tolerant, And when they break you can tell they did. Paintballs dont matter about look, its performance, and these paintballs are great. They will successfully hit a target, they dont swirver or anything else. I will use these paintballs forever
Con-
Price, these are really expensive.
Overall these paintballs are amazing. Go purchase a case and see how you feel, you wont want to stop using them!
I have used this particular paint probably 10 times, well 10 times many cases of it and it has performed well for me each time.
First thing I always check with paint is if it is dimpled or not, and its' seams. DXS Gold seems to have a few dimples in some of the cases I have used, nothing major to hinder performance, but they are still there.
The fill is good, nice and bright and not too thick but just right (no wonder so many people use it). The shell is good on them, I usually get the Forest Green shell but have also used the Orange shell as well. Sometimes it seems that the Orange shell in a bit thicker than the Green.
Now for the drop test I saved. 10 balls differing heights.
5 balls at shoulder height (5')
1- Broke
2- Bounced once and broke
3- Broke
4- Broke
5- Broke
2 balls, 2'
1- Bounced did not break
2-Bounced did not break
Although they are not the most brittle paintballs I have ever used they do good while playing. Their quality and fill more than makes up for the shell.
* Also the shells tended to shatter rather than break on the seam, this may be from how cold it was outside, I do not know*
I like using these paintballs, they have never let me down and I have never had a bounce off of a person that I shot. These are very high quality paintballs and if I can find them for a cheap price I will use them any change I get. Great job DXS, you made great paint back in the day and continue to now.
I have shot this a few times and its usually a hit or miss with how fragile its going to be. I have seen sl74s with the fragile paint valve guide installed blend it and on the opposite end of the spectrum ive seen ions rip with it. I personally wont shoot it again unless its givin to me because Im not willing to take the risk of it ruining my day by breaking in my gun and hopper.
