Pros: Shooting great
Cons: NONE
I ref paintball so i get 1000 of these paintballs for free. They are great for everything. I use the in tournaments and in rec ball. The shell is a little harder than gold, but I get these for free so I'm not complaining. The fill is also easy to see on an opposing player so it helps the refs know that they were hit.

All in all if you are looking to by some great paintballs these are the best choice.

i shot two cases of silver last practice and i loved it

we made silver our practice paint because it performed so well and is cheap

it has really thick fill
brittle shell
breaks on target and not in loader, barrel, or gun

it is cheap compared to other paint that performs the same

shoots straight

9/10

Pros: Nice shell, good bright fill, price
Cons: Dimples
I used this paint for a while when my local pro-shop stocked DXS products but then stopped for a bit, but now they have started to restock it and it makes me happy. Yet again, test here we come.

And yes, I save these in Microsoft Word...sad I know. If you know me I am very scientific with everything I do, it gets old, but maybe it will help you.

*These test were done in March of last year, temperature was around 65F outside, so nothing bad.*

10 Paintballs, varying heights.

Shoulder height (5'), 5 balls
1- Broke
2- Broke
3- Broke
4- Bounced once, broke
5- Bounced once, broke

3 feet, 3 balls
1- Bounced once, broke
2- Bounced twice, broke
3- Bounced into grass, (Void)

2 feet, 2 balls
1- Bounced three times, broke
2- Bounced twice, broke

As you can see they are brittle, but not so brittle as to break in the marker. Yet again the conditions I performed this test were not bad.

Size, Consistency
Every time I have used this paint it has been around .686 or smaller, it is not a large paint, just like most DXS paint, it is small as well.

Shells
Depending on what fill you get, the shell is a two-toned shell with one side Silver and the other side coinciding with the fill color of the paint. The only thing that I have found with this paint is if you do not turn it every once in a while you will start to get dimples.

Fill
The fill has always been good, a bit thinner and less bright than Hellfire (X-Ball Gold) but none the less you can see it and it is hard to wipe. So fill should not be a problem. Lets put it this way, you will be able to see it from across the field.

Seams
There is virtually not a seam on this paint, ind if you find the stray paintball with one, it will not affect the performance of the paint, so seams are good with DXS X-Ball Silver.

I usually use this paint when playing with friends, usually trips I take with large groups and has never let me down, not many breaks or anything, and is always fresh when I get it. Yet again DXS knows what they are doing.

Pros: It shoots great in all weather
Cons: none
Shot this paint for a CFOA season. It shot money every event no matter what the weather was like or what maker was shooting it.

It never had an issue with breaking paint.
Never had an issue reading paint threw a halo.
Never had any complaints and rarely ever had bounces.

Pros: See below
Cons: See below
Pros:

Fill- The fill on this paint is bright and thick. It is hard to wipe.

Consistency- The paint bore does not jump. They are all around the same size.

Cons:

Shell- When I used this paint at a previous tournament, I got A LOT of bounces. One from about 10 feet. It had a VERY hard shell.

Conclusion:

Overall, this paint is OK, but not amazing. I personally think we got a bad batch.

Great paint for the price. Shoots well, always very round and free of dimples/defects. I shoot it because its a great cost/performance ratio.

I absolutley love x-balls. They look cool and bust great. You can almost bet that they will bust 9 out of 10 times. they are priced reasonably and will meet your expectations every time. I shoot these balls every time I can.
