I ref paintball so i get 1000 of these paintballs for free. They are great for everything. I use the in tournaments and in rec ball. The shell is a little harder than gold, but I get these for free so I'm not complaining. The fill is also easy to see on an opposing player so it helps the refs know that they were hit.
All in all if you are looking to by some great paintballs these are the best choice.

And yes, I save these in Microsoft Word...sad I know. If you know me I am very scientific with everything I do, it gets old, but maybe it will help you.
*These test were done in March of last year, temperature was around 65F outside, so nothing bad.*
As you can see they are brittle, but not so brittle as to break in the marker. Yet again the conditions I performed this test were not bad.
Size, Consistency
Every time I have used this paint it has been around .686 or smaller, it is not a large paint, just like most DXS paint, it is small as well.
Shells
Depending on what fill you get, the shell is a two-toned shell with one side Silver and the other side coinciding with the fill color of the paint. The only thing that I have found with this paint is if you do not turn it every once in a while you will start to get dimples.
Fill
The fill has always been good, a bit thinner and less bright than Hellfire (X-Ball Gold) but none the less you can see it and it is hard to wipe. So fill should not be a problem. Lets put it this way, you will be able to see it from across the field.
Seams
There is virtually not a seam on this paint, ind if you find the stray paintball with one, it will not affect the performance of the paint, so seams are good with DXS X-Ball Silver.
I usually use this paint when playing with friends, usually trips I take with large groups and has never let me down, not many breaks or anything, and is always fresh when I get it. Yet again DXS knows what they are doing.

Silver is your definite go to paintball if the high end paintballs are too brittle on days that are a little colder than 60 degrees out or low humidity. I would go to this ball for sure because it's shell is a little stronger than others for cold temperatures that's a good thing. In the heat of the summer go for the next step up though.
Great tournament paintball.

Procaps Direct Xball SilverGreat paint for the price. Shoots well, always very round and free of dimples/defects. I shoot it because its a great cost/performance ratio.
