Cons: Had to deal with Leaks
I just got back into the sport and was surprised to see the PM8 for so cheap. I quickly bought it and the next week I was playing. Unfortunately, during the first hour of play it went down with a leak in the reg. I didn't have the right size O-ring and had to use a rental.

Overall, it is a great Marker for the price and can hold its own with the newer ones out on the field.

I have currently owned 4 different PM8's with only 1 of which that actually worked.

1. Received PM8 brand new in a sponsorship package, gun had a bad noid OUT OF THE BOX.

2. Returned #1 and received another NIB PM8 - LPR was not machined properly and gun would not function correctly (Had to be looked at by Dye Airsmith to determine this one)

3. Returned yet again #2 and received another NIB PM8 - Gun shot like a dream out of the box with a little tweaking to get the pressures set correctly once aired up. Played 2 X-ball matches and the board shorted out (No water damage/etc) where the eyes plug into the board so I was left with a gun with no eyes (not a huge problem, replaced the board and gun functioned properly)

4. Picked up a used PM8, this time however, the gun performed flawlessly.

The first 3 PM8s I had were when the PM8 was first released, maybe there were still some bugs to be worked out? Hope others have better luck than me.

Pros: shoots well, feels good
Cons: None really!
I got my hands on one of these for an event during the AXBL. I was always used to shooting DYE guns so it was an easy transition for me. The gun shot well but wasn't as smooth as my DM series guns. However, for the money they are tough to beat.

Coming with a UL frame the are def comfy and the little groove in the front makes it very nice for your hands.

over all, they are nice! I just wish they were a bit more smooth.

Pros: Great feel, light, fast, quiet, soft shot
Cons: the eye pipe broke
I had the gun for roughly 2 years and loved it, ever aspect, accept the eye pipe, it broke and it really bothered me. Other than that the gun shot great, had normal efficiency, had really good ergonomics, shot very quietly and smoothly, and was decently light for being a spool valve gun.

This gun rivals a DM9 in performance, and is half the price, i would recommend it to anybody considering buying one.

Pros: Smaller, Lighter DM9
Cons: Ribbon eyes, no stock leverlock, DM7 eye pipe
this gun is the pinnacle of the PM design, they look lessons learned from this marker to design the DM9, which was dye's flagship design for the next 5 years. to give you an example of the similarities between the PM8 and the DM9-11, the boards, solenoids, HPR and bolts are interchangeable (except for the backcap).

it shoots like a DM, and does it for cheap, a lot of parts are upgradeable to whats on DM's, (reach trigger, clamping feedneck ect...)

there are 2 majors downsides to this marker but one is fixable
the wired eyes. they are fine as long as they are working, but something about the nature of wired eyes is that they are unpredictable. one minute they are working fine, the next they are broke. they are very fragile, you CAN use wired eyes, the board even has a plug for the use of standard DM eyes, but you dont have enough room for the guage of the wires,, you can switch out the wires for thinner ones, but that requires soldering. you can modify the frame to allow for room around the solenoid, but if you mess up, you ruin your frame, i have had luck positioning the wires with clear cellophane tape and closing the frame with the tape in place.

the major (uncorrectable) issue is with the eye pipe. yeah yeah, everyone hates eye pipes.. but the issue is, the PM8 uses an eye pipe that existed for only one year, the DM7 pipe, the eye pipe that the DM8 used thatyear was like the one in every subsequent dye product, the flaw is with the detents, because the detents arent part of the assembly (like every version afterwards) there are holes to allow the detents into the breech, as a result, the plastic between the detents and the top that lets the balls feed in is fantastically thin.. and the polycarbonate that dye uses is already loathed for how brittle it is. it really impacts the durability of the pipe. which for the time being you can still get replacements for, but you never know the day that will stop

all in all, they are great guns, even a few pro players used one for a whole season. theres a lot to like, and if you know how to maintain a DM, there very little that can actually go wrong on one of these guns.
