Ive been using the ultralite since the Dye Matrix 03 came out and I have been using them with all different types of makers from spoolies to poppits and I have to say that they really are worth every penny Dye asks for them. Great looking, very nice color selection, good bore sizes and seems to quiet a lot of markers down which is always a plus for most people at least. A+++

This barrel performs fantastically but in order to get a good paint to barrel match you need to buy a bunch of different sized backs, which can get pretty expensive. Also the backs don't go very low in bore size so even if you have all the backs sometimes you still can't get a great match.

Dye Precision Ultralite 2-Piece BarrelI have had many of these barrels and have never had an issue with any. Some were faded more then others though which made it look off on the gun. It was also too expensive and difficult to collect...
I have had many of these barrels and have never had an issue with any. Some were faded more then others though which made it look off on the gun. It was also too expensive and difficult to collect enough backs to make a full kit.

I have a DYE Ultralite barrel on my Proto that I bought used and it is the only barrel that I will ever use on it. It has never broken a ball, it is very quiet and so light. Accuracy is a huge plus on this barrel but of course paint-to-barrel match is where accuracy really comes from.
One factor that really concerned me and still does whenever I play is that there are no o-rings to keep the barrel in place. After playing a few rounds, I find myself tightening the barrel again to keep it in the breech. It seems to loosen because there isn't an o-ring on the back to tighten it to the threads.
Overall this barrel is amazing and never do I plan on replacing it! I recommend this barrel to anyone who wants to shoot quality

Although Ultralites aren't the lightest barrels in today's market, they are still very light and look really good. I like that their anodizing and finish matches a lot of markers out there. They perform very well and the only drawback is that they are a bit pricey.
Best barrel out there for it's price! Get it if you got the money!
