Aftermarket Trigger (not sure what off my head)

I have owned a PM7 for only a month now. I played with it probably 2 times and have had a great experience with it. My PM7 has an Ultralight Frame, so i cannot comment on the feel of a stock PM7, but the UL frame is perfect on this gun for me (and any pm/dm IMO). It was very consistant over the crono, but a bit gas-hungry compared to my dm. Not bad air efficiency though, have definately had worse. It is a quiet marker, which i like. Also very light.

I like the gun more because of the price they are going for now. I picked mine up for $400 with a UL Frame and hybrid laser engraving. It is a good marker to pick up with the intention of keeping. Resale value is a big con of the marker if you intend to sell, but what markers really are.

Overall i like the gun. If you can't live without a UL frame, and have the money, go for a PM8. If your tight on cash you can pick up a UL PM7 for $400-$500 depending on upgrades and other stuff that makes the gun shoot a billion balls per second (pbnation sticker )

I've had my PM7 for about 2 months now. Every time I go to air it up, it works. This thing shoots ropes. I have a UL frame, Critical trigger, Virtue board, and Hybrid grips, and it is one of the most comfortable guns I have ever shot. There is no kick, and it shoots ball on ball.

If you get this gun, you have to take care of it. This is not a gun that you can just lube once and forget about it. After every game, clean it and lube it and it will be good to you. This is the way every PM/DM is.

Overall, I'd say get a UL'd/ Up'd PM7 over a PM8. This is because it saves you money, and it gives you the same amount of performance.

-Ribbon eyes SUCK!
-Lot's of o-rings (but can always be easily changed when there's a problem)

Cons: inefficient. leak prone
The Pm7 is a great gun for a player looking for an affordable option to the tournament level marker. It is great for aggressive front players due to its light weight and low sound signature. One issue I seemed to have with this gun was the top hat oring frequently blew out causing a leak down the bolt.

Pros: Light, efficient, quiet, no kick
Cons: UL frame really needed
The PM7 is a great lightweight marker and it becomes even lighter with the addition of an UL Frame. Fast, quiet, and getting a good amount of pods out of a tank are just some of the nice features that the PM7 can boast.

Out of all the upgrades I would suggest the top one for most would be the addition of the Ultralite frame. This lightens the marker up to the point that it is noticable and gives a nicer feel to the marker while playing.

A tophat mod will increase the efficiency if done correctly.

Out of the Proto Matrix 5,6,7, and 8 the Ultralite frame'd PM7 feels the best in my opinion.

Cons: Chunky body and frame, nasty trigger
Coming from a PMR, the PM7 didn't feel much like an advancement. Besides having an LPR, the smoothness and air efficiency of the gun isn't drastic enough to justify spending double the amount of money. The PM7 is by far not a bad gun but it isn't cost-effective either. Everything about it is average. Currently, I own a PM8 an I can see why Dye stepped it up with the 2008 guns. This gun was mediocre for a company everyone expects a lot from.

I bought my PM7 brand new a few weeks ago and have used it 3 times since then. It is a great electronic marker and the UL frame imo, doesn't make it perform any better, it just feels better in your hand. I would recommend buying a barrel kit and a new trigger though. The board in the gun is really nice because it comes with PSP, NXL (click switch 4 times, manual doesn't show it) Semi, and Millennium. The board can be adjusted from 10-30 BPS so you don't have to send the board to be flashed for the new PSP rule. Just like any electronic marker taking care of it is a must, bust fairly simple. I am very please with this gun and also pleased with the price. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted to step their game up from a low-end electronic to a high-end. It is worth the price and now you can get them for $450 on actionvillage.com (DIRT CHEAP!!)
