Cons: Aluminium so not as light as a carbon fiber barrel
The Freak is a very reliable barrel. It has inserts that you can compare your paint to so you don't have any paint break in your barrel. It is also very accurate because of the inserts. The cons that I see is that its aluminum so its not as light as a carbon fiber barrel but it is what I think is the best alternative if you don't want to spend the money on a carbon fiber kit. The other con I see is that it dosn't really have a lot of colors to choose from unless you search around on the nation.

Pros: Excellent Kit
Cons: None
Picked up my Stainless Steel insert Freak Kit about a year ago after purchasing my Ion. Came with the full SS inserts, 1 AA front, and 1 back. Since then I've added 2 cocker backs, stiffi tip, 3 extra inserts for the ones I use the most, and a deadlywinds barrel that uses the same inserts.

I love this kit. Lots of inserts to match any paint. Match the paint/bore and it's super accurate. The kit really pays off if you have lots of markers or lots of different barrel threads.

I've got 4 barrel kits and my freak is hands down my favorite.

Pros: Many bores
Cons: Poor bore sizing, inefficiency
I used one of the early Freak kits when it came out. I bought into the hype like many. The kit offers a wide range of bores to choose from, however when measured with a micrometer, most bores are not what they are listed and several were the same size. This was a big let down, as I had paid a pretty penny for this kit. Out on the field the kit shot great. No issues with it coming unscrewed or anything. However, the vast amount of porting on the tip really detracts from overall efficiency. The porting does reduce sound signature, though! Honestly, Id only shoot a Freak kit if it was given to me.

Pros: Interchangeable inserts, tips
Cons: Expensive, delicate inserts
I picked up a Freak kit in a trade, and I'm less than impressed. Brand new, it would have been very expensive and the inserts are very delicate. The stainless steel ones are a bit hardier, but even more expensive.

The barrel shoots straight enough. It's not the most accurate barrel I've ever seen, but it gets the job done. For a mediocre barrel, though, I wouldn't drop 150.

I'm not a huge proponent of "bore to paint match". I think it's a lot of hype...as far as I can tell, it only affects efficiency. And who really cares about that these days?

Only get this if you have a closed bolt pump/marker and you're worried about roll outs. Otherwise, I'd pass.

Cons: heavy
These barrel are some of the top in the game. Perfect for people with ions and low ends. The are behind some other barrels such as the ultralights, stiffis, Sly, and some others, but are good realiable barrels. You can customize them any way, but one problem is that you have to have a insert for the barrel and they are heavy.
