Smart parts freak barrel system. This modular system uses three basic pieces: barrel tips, barrel backs and internal barrel bores called inserts. Each piece is universal and can fit all other Freak components.

I used one of the early Freak kits when it came out. I bought into the hype like many. The kit offers a wide range of bores to choose from, however when measured with a micrometer, most bores are not what they are listed and several were the same size. This was a big let down, as I had paid a pretty penny for this kit. Out on the field the kit shot great. No issues with it coming unscrewed or anything. However, the vast amount of porting on the tip really detracts from overall efficiency. The porting does reduce sound signature, though! Honestly, Id only shoot a Freak kit if it was given to me.

I picked up a Freak kit in a trade, and I'm less than impressed. Brand new, it would have been very expensive and the inserts are very delicate. The stainless steel ones are a bit hardier, but even more expensive.
The barrel shoots straight enough. It's not the most accurate barrel I've ever seen, but it gets the job done. For a mediocre barrel, though, I wouldn't drop 150.
I'm not a huge proponent of "bore to paint match". I think it's a lot of hype...as far as I can tell, it only affects efficiency. And who really cares about that these days?
Only get this if you have a closed bolt pump/marker and you're worried about roll outs. Otherwise, I'd pass.

These barrel are some of the top in the game. Perfect for people with ions and low ends. The are behind some other barrels such as the ultralights, stiffis, Sly, and some others, but are good realiable barrels. You can customize them any way, but one problem is that you have to have a insert for the barrel and they are heavy.

This barrel is absolutely amazing. It shoots like a dream. All my balls are spot on and no barrel breaks. Its nice that you can change out the inserts to match the size of your paint and that you can completely change the barrel to whatever you want to be with all the different tips, backs, colors etc.
I highly recommend you go out and buy one. You will not be disappointed.
