Smart parts freak barrel system. This modular system uses three basic pieces: barrel tips, barrel backs and internal barrel bores called inserts. Each piece is universal and can fit all other Freak components.

Aluminum inserts were true to their sizing & had nice, smooth bores. Front & back construction were high quality &, imo, looked pretty sharp (although my cousin preferred the AA front ).
Performance was spot on. Barrel shot darts all day long. Never had any breaks while using it so couldn't tell you how well it clears them.
Now for the only con i could think of - i'm just not a fan of inserts. There's nothing wrong with them &, as i stated earlier, they work well. I just like having a barrel that's no more than two pieces.

I have used this barrel kit for two years now. It is now the best kit out there, but will get the job done and is probably the longest running barrel kit to date.
The kit comes with every bore you could ever need really. It looks nice, sounds decent (not too loud), and it is VERY nice to be able to change components between any freak barrel (Fronts + backs), and All American barrels.
Overall, this barrel is decent, cheap, good looking, but does not shoot through breaks well and is hard to clean out due to the inserts.

The Freak barrel is a nice barrel kit to own, if you own multiple barrel thread guns, all you need is a new barrel back and you all set to go, if you don't like the length or the front, you can just buy a new one and your all set to go.
The Freak inserts are accurate. There are aluminum back and stainless steel backs available. Aluminum is lighter but aluminum expands and contracts in heat and cold. Also their bore sizes are accurate if you go by the numbers, if you do the blow test, then it's good to go. Stainless steel inserts are heavier but strong and are less pron to expanding and contracting. Again, numbers printed for the bore size isn't accurate but you can just do the blow test and it's good to go.
Pros-Different looks and ability to be used on multiple markers with the change of the back

I like the freak barrel kit, its got a nice quality build feel to it, like it won't break. It WILL chip and scratch easily but thats cosmetic and can be dealt with.
The bore matching is awesome, I always am checking my paint every now and then, making sure i got the best bore for the job. Not to mention the color schemes make it look badass as hell sometimes too .
I will say, I was not happy with the price, but it came so highly recommended and I took the leap. I won't say its 120 dollars good, but its still pretty good.

A very good idea by Smart Parts tarnished by their famous lack of quality. The barrel is a good idea, and should've worked well. But the inserts are usually inconsistent in their bore, and prone to bending/warping. They also don't usually sit right in the back tube. It does come with a lot of different bore sizes... which is good.
Its fairly accurate, but I'd prefer a solid bore kit over this. There are better barrel kits out for the money.
