Pros: Looks, comfort, ventilation
Cons: vertical view, chin straps, permanent full guard
This is the first mask Ive ever owned (just started getting into paintball) and the fourth Ive worn (friends profiler and a couple others I cant name). I bought the full head guard version because it was the same price as the regular version, cooler looking (in my opinion) and i figured I could just take it off if I didnt like it. Well unfortunately it is permanently affixed and I'm gonna have to do some retrofitting to be able to remove it at will.

The flex 8 is in my opinion the second best looking mask after the grillz but $30 less. When I first put the mask on I could tell right away that it was not going to be comfortable the hard ears and the hard plastic peice at the top of the head guard are both very uncomfortable. But when playing I put on a bandana and had zero issues with comfort throughout the whole day. This mask has ample ventilation, stays in place very well and with the addition of a bandana the hard ears and plastic top peice become non-issues. Much more comfortable than my friends profiler.

My main complaint about this mask is the vertical viewing angle isnt that great, but the horizontal is excellent (in truth the vertical is only bad when compared to the horizontal). The chin straps are a minor annoyance but cutting them out isnt a big deal. Obviously this mask isnt as flexible as the other flex models and if bounces are a big issue for you I would get a proflex or flex 7 but honestly I would rather a break than a split lip.
