Dated style, lens not as wide view as newer lenses
My first mask was a Flex 7. I have tried several others over the years, Profilers, Dye I3, Dye I4, Skul, before settling on the Flex 8.
One of the pros for me with the Flex 8 was that my stash of old school Flex 7 frames, lenses, and straps would work on the system.
Combine that with a rigid lower mask piece and a nice solid hard ear (soft ears always scared me...) and I'm all set.
Breathing is actually better for me than with the Flex 7. Communication is about the same. You're going to have to shout to be heard through ANY full face mask, I don't care what brand you're using.
Cons to this system are that the Flex frame and lens is getting dated in style and in vision. There are masks out now with MUCH better peripheral vision.
Another con is that every part of it is hard to take apart, particularly the lens. There is no "quick change" on the Flex system. You'd better have strong hands and a bit of pain tolerance plus a few minutes to swap this lens out.
Honestly, it was either the Flex 8 or the i4 from Dye for me, and I went with the Flex 8 because it covers my jawline better. The Dye mask had much better vision out of it.
I recommend this mask to people who can't wear the Dye I4 because they're normal sized human beings for woodsball/scenario or speedball play.

when JT tryed to improve the proflex they didnt really succeed
They took away the flexy bottoms which means u wont get too many bounces
they also took away the soft ears
the ears are hard plastic and after a while they start to hurt
the lens is a thermal lens and never fogged up on me
lens removal is difficult because of the clips that u have to work with
the foam is nice and thick and after a while i forgot i had it on (that is until my ears started to hurt)
there is good venting and very little echo
they look good (i think it is the best looking mask after the grillz and events but those are in a different price range)
overall these are good for someone with little money or just getting into the sport i give it an 8 out of 10

When JT set out to improve upon their signature product they did so with good intentions, but (in my opinion) failed to deliver a superior product. It is hard to improve upon a design that has as much customer support as the ProFlex does, and I think this is the main reason the Flex 8 isn't as popular. Having said all this, the mask does have some distinct advantages:
Protection; the Flex 8 did improve on the protection of the mouth and lower half of the face by making the bottom one solid piece. Some may view this as a disadvantage because it does make the mask heavier and more rigid, and less comfortable overall. Also the ear protection is no longer made of foam, and once again JT has opted for hard plastic, this may also be viewed as a drawback for the aforementioned reasons.
Style; Although I personally don't like the way the mask feels, I do think it looks great. Another thing to consider is that all heads have a different size and shape, and while I think it is uncomfortable most people I know that regularly use a Flex 8 seem to like them.
Overall I would say you should try one on and see for yourself, but for me the Flex 8 gets 7.5/10

I like the soft bottoms of the proflex so that would be a con for me but some people like the fact that it has the hard bottom because they feel it has better protection. Also the hard ears are sometimes uncomfortable for some people. I never really had a problem with it but it can easily be remedied by putting soft ears on teh inside of the ear part of this mask.
I would recomend this mask to any one that was in the sport or looking to get into the sport. You can get a camo color if you want to play in the woods, or you can get other colors if you want if you want to match the rest of your gear or your team.

i bought this mask because i wanted the white flex 8 bottoms. instead of paying $35 for used ones i paid $60 for the whole mask so i could sell the white frame for $50. i barely paid anything for a whole mask. the only downside to it is that the flex 8 ear piece hurt me a bit but while i was playing it didn't take away from my focus. also, the two parts of the lense started to separate and now it fogs a bit. but before that it didnt fog. and i think this is the second best looking mask, after the grills

i bought the bottom off a guy and added to my lucky flex frames and strap and i loved the look. i took it out for nightball and i was shot in the ear. i hurt but i might have cried if i had been using softears. i like the material used also. alot of people call it cheap plastic but it's like perfect. i got a bounce off the side. it is also breathable like it's dad, the proflex. i think anyone who wants a good mask should consider it.

One of the best things is how customizable it is, you can make your mask your very own style.
overall 9/10

It's a Flex, Easy Lens Change, Lightweight, Vision
Cons:
Bottoms
This is JT's next step in the proflex line of masks. Personally I think they should have stuck with their original design...
Pro's:
Decently Lightweight
Durable
Easy Lens Change
No Fogging
Uniqueness (Switching around parts)
Con's:
Hard Bottoms (add weight onto mask/not flexible)
No Softears available unless you cut it.
The bottoms are a disappointment compared to the Flex7 bottoms. They're hard, and just aren't as comfortable. Also JT did not give the ability to use softears, stock. They instead installed their own irremovable ears... Now, if you want softears your must
A: cut/mod your mask to accept softears.
B: Wear Softears under the stock "ears"
Overall JT put out another great mask, but they should have stuck with their original design, instead of insisting on changing it. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
