My review of the ‪#‎egolv1‬. Started at chrono pit. Fired a few shots and thought "quieter than previous Egos and smoother but not as drastic as others have made it seem". Then checked the chrono. I was at 315 . Turned it down to a consistent 281-285 and WHOA!!!! A WORLD of a difference. Now I see what everyone raved about. Feels like your shooting a spool. Sounds like it too. I've never been one who cared too much about feel or sound but still I'm impressed...majorly. Even shooting with one hand and unshouldered it doesn't move. Better efficiency as well. Reliability...if you know PE you know that's always been a strong point for them. ‪

Pros: Great Ergonomics, Sleek Look, Quiet, Smooth
Cons: Not any
Pros:

-Ergonomics

The gun is extremely comfortable to use. It is more stretched out than previous Ego models and sits very comfortably in your hands. The LPR being moved into the body of the gun makes a big difference and makes the gun much more comfortable overall. The full rubber wraparound grips make a great platform for your shooting hand.

-Efficiency

The LV1 is very good on limiting air consumption. When you get the gun you have the option to swap out the stock ram for a lightweight ram to improve efficiency, you can also adjust the solenoid to improve efficiency to the max level. It does not get quite as many shots as a G6R but gets more than enough.

-Easy Maintenance

The LV1 can be completely disassembled and maintained by hand, other than removing the grips. It makes it very convenient to maintain and limits the amount of time necessary. It also can go much longer before needed to be lubed than a spool based marker.

-Quiet Sound signature

In comparison to other poppet valve guns, the LV1 has a very quiet sound signature when shooting. It is quieter than most spools even and a world different than previous ego models.

-Smooth shot

The LV1 also shoots very smooth and does not have a noticeable level of barrel rise. The gun is a big difference from previous poppet platforms due the the level valve.

will admit, I was not a fan of this marker when first shooting other people LV1's. Asking myself questions like what is all the hype about, is it really that smooth, whats with the ugly grips?

It was by fate that I ended up with one in a trade and even then I was still not a huge fan. It had a kick to it, louder than spools, and had an arc to it the Ego is notoriously known for. WAIT FOR IT!

Then after 3 cases, tuning, Planet Eclipse has raised the bar once again. By far the smoothest marker I have ever shot, the awkwardness of the grips and length disappeared as I played point after point with the marker. Best in the World is my final conclusion.

QUALITY: Planet Eclipse make the highest quality paintball products out.

RELIABILITY: My original 07 Ego had over 600 cases through it. The PE name stands for something with the best CS in the industry. I am positive the LV1 will stand the test of time.

SHOT: Once tuned, is smoother than anything I have ever shot. Just watch as other players shoot it and guess the FPS. It truly feels like you are living at 220 when you are really shooting 280.

BARREL: not my favorite but it is my 2nd favorite behind the Dye CF. Fantastic barrel.

TRIGGER: 15BPS left handed with ease. Very adjustable.

CASE: Top Notch as always.

BOARD: The best board out.

OVERALL: This is the best paintball marker out for those in the market for a first time high end marker. Very simple, reliable, with high performance at ever aspect.

Smooth shooting gun (like every PE gun) and is pretty quiet for a poppet valve gun. Only thing I am not a fan of is looks, don't really like all the rubber on the gun but that is just my opinion. I can get around a case of paint through a 68/45.

Overall awesome gun

i picked up my lv1 fro oklahoma d-day. right out of the box the marker was longer than previous models...even the ego 11. comfortable as hell! i played the weekend with my ninja 90/4500 tank on the marker and i was getting 15 pods plus a rotor...right out of the box! i have approximately 14k shots on the marker now and i will be dwell/lpr/sfr tuning the marker soon. out of the box the marker on stock settings is fantastic, i cannot wait to see how the marker performs after it is tuned. it is getting better by the pod!

This gun is by far the biggest leap in poppet valve guns since the Intimidator. It shoots as smooth as a finely tuned Geo with the efficiency that the Ego is known for. As a tech I am very happy about how the built the gun. Tear down and re-build are extremely simple and I have yet to have any problems!

Planet Eclipse EGO LV1 Gun is very smooth but slow rof. Can only get 16bps on uncapped ramp with 3 different types of hoppers; rotor, 260 spire, and z2.

Planet Eclipse EGO LV1 Love the feel and quality of the gun. Service by eclipse is amazing and prompt. Gun turns heads and held in reverence. It's light, bit longer but I think it's perfect.
