TechT Paintball T2 Hush BoltPros:
-Adds 15-20 FPS. (I have personally seen this on 4 different T2s)
-The build quality is top notch.
-Obviously, more efficient I was able to get about an extra pod out of the gun with it...
Makes the gun shoot hot, makes stroke less smooth.
Pros:
-Adds 15-20 FPS. (I have personally seen this on 4 different T2s)
-The build quality is top notch.
-Obviously, more efficient I was able to get about an extra pod out of the gun with it shooting at ~305.
-If you do have the FPS problem above, you CAN get a lighter spring or clip your spring.
Cons:
-Makes some T2s shoot hot.
-Makes the gun louder, this is because the gun is shooting hotter.
-Makes the pump stroke jerky, this is because of the front o-ring catching on the detent. (This was the deal killer for me)
The main problem I and my T2 shooting associates have with this bolt is it makes a very well tuned gun shoot too hot to pass chrono. Of the 3 other T2 owners I play with, only one guy can get his to shoot under 300 w/o a clipped spring or removed IVG. This obviously means that the bolt will make your gun more efficient but also louder. This is a deal killer if you do Tourneys or rec play as you cant pass chrono. The "Fix" for this means you clip the main spring or removed the IVG which will in turn make the AT feel spongy and frequently missfire. I had thought maybe it was me or the lug, but when I drop the stock bolt and spring back in, it goes back to being flawless.
A few of the sniper shooters using the sniper hush bolt I know have had issues with high FPS as well.
My other Gripe is the front Oring. It catches on the Detent making the pump stroke jerky, I found this annoying. I did try removing this oring as a pair'd fix for the hot velocity and the catching, it did drop the FPS by about 8-10, but also caused a pile of blow-back in my APP and 18v Revy hoppers, and make my rotor and prophy jam up.
The lesson here is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
To that end, we have 4 G6Rs running hush bolts and I have had hushes in 2 egos and they are AMAZING on those guns, but leave it out of your pump.
