The Super Freak is a great barrel system. The fact that you can use old Freak inserts is a huge plus. I personally like the CF tip over any of the others and will most likely never use the Apex. I think Empire should sell it without the Apex and give you the option to buy any of the tips to have one barrel with the 5 inserts, that would be a smart move for them IMO.

The empire Super Freak is everything you come to expect from a bore kit style barrel. It makes one remember the Smart Parts freak very well, and functions just as well as it's precursor, but in my own personal opinion it doesn't stand as high as it's competition.

I have also used a TechT iFit kit and a Stiffi Kit and found these kits to be nicer to work with as a bore kit. The Super freak is a good standing barrel, and with the full kit (Apex tip, carbon fiver tip etc) it is a great buy, but the bore kit alone I feel does not stand up to other current kits on the market. 4/5

Cons: Sound signature (CF tip)
In my opinion, it's the best barrel system for your money. It's cheaper than purchasing a barrel kit from *insert barrel brand here*. However, my only complaint is of a louder sound signature, compared to most other barrels out there. And, I'm only relating this to the carbon fiber tip with the kit.

Overall not a lot of bad things to say its a good system and it gives consistent performance and holds good groups. It's not a good looking barrel not that anyone should care. My biggest complaint is the cost and lack of a .688 insert which is the industry standard bore size.

Didn't waste much time picking this up for my Crossover as the factory barrel is meh at best. I've seen some reviews of people breaking paint but I have used the .685 almost exclusively and I can only think of a single time where I had issues with paint(Final battle LL6, may have been debris).

Would have just had the factory barrel bored for Freak inserts but had the option to just buy a cocker back if I wished. Now I have two Empire Sniper kits which I use most of the time on my markers.

Just like the freak kit it includes just about every bore size you could ever need. However my only complaint with the barrel is that there is large gaps in between bore sizes. To fix this I just purchased .687, .682, and .677 inserts for the freak system to fill in the gaps.
