Pros: Gentle on paint, fast as ever,
Cons: Expensive. Takes more than 30 seconds to install
The real advantage of the Magna loader is the magnetic clutch which is now available as an aftermarket drop in piece. The loader pushes paint into the breach just as fast as ever. However, it physically can't smash paint into the breach like other loaders because it is the only loader with a magnetic clutch will "slip" if it tries to push on paint too hard. This sounds simple and it is. It's a genius concept that makes the loader very gentle on paint. Perfect for cold weather or when you are shooting very brittle tournament paint like ultra evil.

If you don't already have a rip drive, the good news is this comes with one. However, it also means the installation will probably take at least a solid 15 minutes. If you already have a rip drive installed, you still have to take both halves of the shell apart, but if you've ever replaced the drive cone in your loader, this installation isn't much different or more complicated.

Installation instructions can be found here.

Brief Video Showing how it works.

I only gave it four stars for value because it is $50 new. That isn't cheap. But it comes with a full rip drive and some plates which allow you different options for setting up the magnetic tension and where it catches. It's easier than it sounds.

Pros: never break paint again
Cons: instructions are not good
The best mod ever for any of my Halos has been the magna clutch upgrade. Instructions weren't the greatest and what the instructions don' say is that the shaft in the kit is for the magna loader ~ not a halo. Th stock halo shaft works fine ~ just the instructions don't tell you this.
