I've had a few of these guns back when they were in their prime. They're great looking markers and shoot very nicely. With a up to date board you're able to get all of the modes you'll need to compete. This gun is still a worthy tournament level marker 7+ years later

I had a few other thoughts I wanted to add to this.
Intimidators, as their name implies, are a "respect demanding" breed of gun. You get a certain feel of satisfaction when you buy/own/use one, a feel that is unique to bob long products and more specifically intimidators.
They are built with a great design, while problematic, was a fantastic platform. Bob Long produced many beautiful variations of this design that are highly successful.
In summary, Intimidators are a unique experience. Don't just read reviews, go hold one! See what it's like to have that power

This was my second most favorite marker i've owned, and i'm a gun whore.
It never failed me and I kick myself for ever letting it go. It was fast and light compared to most of the markers i've owned with the exception to my two shockers and my 07 ego(the light part). Maintenance was very easy as the regular maintenance only involved lubing the ram. And even with the stock barrel it was quite accurate. I really didnt pay six hundred for mine, but that was about the value that i traded for it. I traded my pm5 and 200 for it because of the serious ups it had so compared to my pm5 this was well worth adding 200 for. And supposedly it is the lightest of the intimidator line up to gen3, i have no idea about gen 4 but obviously its not lighter than gen 5 lol.

I am a huge fan of bob long and his guns. I have had many of his guns and this is by far the best. The a-bomb turns heads and is extremely air efficient and fast however i didnt like the LPR, it did not flow well with the rest of the gun, so i put a lasoya LPR and it looked much better.. the 05 timmies along with the short lived 06 were consumed by new market advancements, after the 05 ego planet eclipse stole the market aswell as other company's such as DP. the long lived intimidator crashed at the end of 05 which is a shame, but the name will never die. These guns are cheap now and dont have the respect they should. This is an awesome gun, if you happened to see one for cheap i advise buying it.

this is the most amazing marker i have ever shot, the only thing that i have found to rival its performance is my 08 ego.
i love my abomb, it is by far the best gun i have ever shot. it rips, on average, my bps counter stands at 14, and i barely ever have problems with it. it also shoots with a precision unrivaled by any other marker. it also features many points of adjustment, which i like so i can get my marker shooting exactly the way i want it. it also has the best, most unique look of any marker i have ever seen.
only cons i was able to find was that it can get heavy. i had trouble at first with a halo and a 68/45, but still out performed any other marker. it is also a bit bulky when compared to newer markers, as they get newer, they tend to get smaller and lighter. other con is that it can be difficult to maintain if you are new to the intimidator structure. a lot of things can go wrong, and a lot more things if you try to fix it and you aren't qualified. BLAST however is arguably the best customer service around, and can really fix and problem you have.
as for recommended upgrades, i would first recommend moving from a heavier setup to a lighter one. i switched from a halo and a 68/45 to a vlocity and a 45/45, and it did wonders. i would also recommend the eigenram as it reduces kick. other than the a bomb is pretty much a beast stock.
i love my abomb, and i would recommend that anybody thinking of getting one should definately go for it right away

Not only is it a gorgeous piece of marker, it's also very fast.
With the stock Frenzy 127.5c board, this thing rips 13bps on straight semi easily.

With the stock Frenzy 127.5c board, this thing rips 13bps on straight semi easily.
One recommended upgrade for this marker straight out of the box is either the Eigenram, or EPEK ram, both greatly reduce the kick that all Intimidators have.
My first impression when I used this marker was great right away.
It is fast, light, and consistent.
The only real downfall of the marker is the loudness, it comes close to an Ego.
If you don't care about how loud your marker setup is, then I suggest you invest the money into this marker.
I grade this marker A+.

Bob Long Technologies A-Bomb IntimidatorOverall its a really good marker, given that its based on the Intimidator platform assures you its an amazing marker.
even tho now ( 2012) its outdated, but still holds its ground.
