I LOVEEE my geo3, best gun I've owned to date, and its safe to say I've owned the majority of high ends from 07,08,11 ego-luxe2.0(2)-(3)lv1-(1)insight-(1)dm9, that's just the start, I've had exactly 0 problems with my geo3's, I've owned 3 at this point, and I find myself gravitating towards them time and time again, so I got one and now im sticking with it, can't beat customer service, I know that I will never have any problems with this gun no matter the weather because it's been shot in rain, mud, and extremely humid conditions and still no problems.

Pros: Performance, handling, efficiency, maintenance
Cons: Milling, Price
Having owned multiple different spool valve guns through the years (from Shockers, Clones, Luxes, etc), the Geo3 definitely stands at it's own level (even among its predecessors). I still own a Geo+, and previous owned both a Geo2, and 2.1 at one point. I didn't think I would go back to spool valves after the Ego11, but after shooting my friend's Geo3 I've gone back and now it's my one and only choice. Planet Eclipse has taking it's works of art to the next level yet again, and it keeps getting ridiculous (in a good way)!

Appearance: Although I did mark it as 5 stars, realistically I give it a 4.5/5. This being that the Geo3's body style does feel slightly bulkier, or bigger, than the previous generations. But don't get me wrong the milling on the gun is still top notch and beautiful to look at. It still has that sleek design and aggressive feel to it.

Performance: The Geo3's performance on the field is crazy! The shot groupings are nearly ball on ball, if not practically centimeters apart. I've never had any issues with chopping, or barrel breaks. It cycles amazingly fast and can keep up with any rate of fire you set it to (max 15, uncapped). So in most spool valve guns, weather does play a factor into their performance, but with the Geo3, either extreme heat or cold, it works wonders, no issues, no bolt sticking, no drops in pressure or efficiency either. As always the Planet Eclipse boards are easy to program and configure, as well as having the adjustable solenoid switch on the grip frame helps plenty with fine tuning.

Handling: The overall feel of holding the marker is great. The spacing between the grip frame and the regulator is very comfortable and solid. Shooting paint like any spool valve is super smooth, very little to no kick at all, and like all other Geos, it's super quiet. Even for it's bulky appearance, it's still surprisingly light weight, and easy to hold.

Reliability: As I said in the Performance section, the gun shoots in all kinds of weather (heat, cold, rain, or snow). And it works flawlessly with no issues. I play almost ever weekend, and I regularly put 2-3 cases through it and hardly ever break a ball. Even if it's dirty from the week before it will still run strong.

Efficiency: At first I was skeptical about the efficiency, since we all know spool valve guns are big air hogs, but with now with the Geo3 it almost performs the same as any poppit valve gun! Off of a 4000 psi fill on my 68/45 tank, I was shocked when I shot through 6-7 pods (including my hopper), and still had roughly 2500 psi left in my tank.

Maintenance: Taking care of this marker is just as easy as managing any of the other Planet Eclipse markers. Simple to break down, easy to put back together. For quick clean and lube of your marker, all you have to do is unscrew the back cap and pullout the bolt system. It's that easy. And even for a full tear down, it only takes maybe 15-20 minutes really.

Overall: The Geo 3 as a whole is probably one of the best buys you can get out there for a truly top of the line spool valve marker, that has all the same look and feel of any of the geo markers, and without all of the negatives of your normal spool valve gun. It's quiet, shoots straight, air efficient, and it's a solid marker in any kind of playing condition.

Whats up guys I own a geo3 i've put abou 23k through it here are my thoughts.

Dude Im paying a almost $1,400 and I get one barrel back? I paid $420 for a empire sniper and got atleast 3 backs and I have to shell out another $90 for 2 backs? thats totally lame....

The soft tip bolt is nice but I really don't care for it. I can shoot evil all day and not have a single ball break at all. So I'd rather have more barrels than another bolt.

I can't kill this thing, I'm a very agressive, fast moving sliding, diving kind of player and Not one time have i had my geo leak or turn off or broken anything on it.

Planet got it right with the geo3. Its their most efficient Geo yet, and is smoother and quieter no nonsense this time around.it's pretty effing light.the board provided is still the best board in paintball period in my opinion.the ability to adjust the noid to dampen the bolt speed is truely phenominal and in my opinion a breakthrough in paintball since the day they introduced it on the ego11.it's the best feature and breakthrough in paintball marker technological advancements for the last 15 years. Smart parts had the eye, dye had the eye pipe, and planet eclipse had bolt dampening lol! Planet eclipse is truly the leader in innovation.when a company advertises flashy gizmos and gadgets, it usually is a gimmick.not with planet eclipse.

I play exclusively scenario ball. I run all my markers on a remote. I wear a 6 pod FullClip vest. I own a MD Droid and EGO 10.

Out of the box this marker chronoed 270. The color I have is the Swamp, so the color is perfect for scenario ball. Craftsmanship is perfect. Running a remote, the POPS ASA is perfect. The marker is quiet and the grip/frame feel great in my hand. The readout is easy to see and the switches function well with gloved hands.

The only down side is that you have to purchase a Shaft4 barrel kit if you want different back sizes. However, a DeadlyWind barrel and Frealk inserts work well too.

If you have the coin, and are looking for a scenario/tourney marker....consider the GEO 3.
