Pros: Price, build quality, shot consistency
Cons: Loud, stock barrel
This was my first "High end" marker that I owned. I thought about the Proto Reflex Rail, the Crossover and the KD-II but decided on Planet Eclipse after watching a few comparison videos and actually learning more about PE in general.

I'll go into detail on the points below:

PROS
Price
I picked up my Titan White LT for $400 used, but I had also owned (briefly) an HDE Earth Etek 4 LT that I got at $300 used. You're in a good position when you're getting $500/$600 markers that don't really devalue that quickly for about 20% under MSRP after little use. I also have to say it gives you a whole lot for $400. There's firing modes, a generally nice electro marker and a solid PE design.

Build Quality
At first I doubted the strength of the LT (glass reinforced polymer nylon thingy) and was dead set on the AM for more money. However, when I actually got it and used it I realized even the minimal difference in weight was nice and i didn't sacrifice build quality at all. The marker holds firm and is quite durable (ran into a tree with it and the anno barely scratched). The teardown and rebuild system is intuitive and doesn't feel like you're breaking your marker either. A definite plus.

Shot Consistency
While there are a lot of folks out there who will argue about what is more consistent and that there are many other factors to consider, I "feel" like the Etek is pretty consistent with where paint goes. My fps doesn't deviate too much and all things aside, it feels like my paint is going where I intend it to.

CONS

Loud
The thing is loud. Stock barrel with nothing special going on and its a cannon. While this isn't a con for some, I do believe it may become obnoxious for others. While I for one like it, I have seen newer players on my team flinch when I pull the trigger near them.

Stock Barrel
Its a ludicrous bore size. 0.691 or greater?! Its pretty big, so the control bore isn't the best. Which puts you out $30 - $40 to buy a smaller bore back.

Otherwise, I'd say its $400 well spent for a "high end marker" at a mid range price.

I own the 4LT -Titan White.....This thing is a beast. I love this marker, I have been shooting ETEK's since 06' and this is by far the best one yet. My only problem is the trigger. This marker can be used by a first time player, or a tournament player. Very versitile, afforadable, accurate and reliable!

I would reccommend this marker to anyone!!

Cons: "Hand Cannon"
"The Poor Man's Ego"

Excited as I was to get the thing home, post photos of it, and shoot it... I was not disappointed.
PE builds good stuff... hands down. The Etek4 LT was no exception. For those who cant swing an Ego... the Etek4 is a great 2nd choice.
The 45 degree macro fitting coupled to the OOPS is sweet... mine shows immediate signs of macro line leaks. But after taking it out, applying a SMALL dab of marker lube into the push connect fittings on either end, and re-installing the macro line... problem was solved... permanently. Even after I removed the macro each time I cleaned the marker. Subsequent air-ups NEVER showed a leak again.
This being my first macro line gun, I was leary it would get in the way with switching hands during a point. The fact the OOPS puts the macro in line with the gripframe was huge... never had an issue with it and quickly became comfortable with the design. Fear removed, although I dont think I could ever own a macro marker that utilizes side-mounted macro fittings.
Shooting it, the first thing I noticed was the distance/ accuracy of the shots. Granted 280fps is 280 fps at the barrel tip... but for some reason, I felt the Etek4 had better range down field than previous guns Ive shot. A Back player/ Laner's dream when you dont have to put such an arc to your shots to rain down on the snake corner from Home.
Ease of maintenance... no reason you should ever see a filthy Etek4 at the field. If removing the bolt and cleaning the the breach is too much trouble for anyone, that person should find another sport. But that goes for any PE gun really, not just the Etek4. But a well maintained gun is a reliable gun. And this gun was just that... reliable. Take it out fo the case, air it up, chrono it, and play. Even during its break-in cycle, the velocity was always stable and consistent.
But like any other "Budget Version" marker, there are downfalls...
Fortunately I found really only one.... the sound signature of the marker. Can you say LOUD??
There was never a question of where I was on the field... shooting it side-by-side to Etek3, and Ego's... this puppy was dubbed the 'hand cannon". Even after putting close to 20,000 shots thru, it was still loud. Even after tuning it for smoothness...it was still considerably louder than any other Etek or Ego around me. I suppose a bolt upgrade would help...some, but I fear that will be the #1 complaint of Etek4 owners.... there is no stealth to this marker. They were loud before... and its seems PE didnt address the noise complaints at all.
But after shooting it for a few months, then switching to something not as nice... coming back to the Etek4, the sound signature becomes not so much of an issue when your G-count improves on the field.

This is easily my favorite $500 range marker, however if I were going to drop this money on a this price point again I would spend an extra $150 and get a used ego 11.

Cons: Frame is Wobbly
I bought the etek4 lt mid summer of 2012. I want to state the performance rating is a bit harsh, but i would recommend buying the AM model off the bat. The composite frame seems to have lots of play when shouldered with a tank. problem would be easily fixed with an AM frame which i plan on buying (if they ever make em)

Besides that this thing is a beast. i routinely have people asking me what marker it is. they seem overly surprised by the fact its an etek. most seem to think its an ego 11...... nuff said lol
