The lid does not stay closed. I have had lost a huge amount of paint while running on the fiel and in the staging areas loading pods. I like to make sure my pods are packed tight so they do not make any noise while I am playing. These pods you cant pack them tight or loose. If you pack the paintballs loose the pod wont stay closed. If you pack them loose the paintballs bounce around and cause the lid to open.
The spring is not engineered to fit the pods very well either. The spring sticks out and when you reach to grab a pod from your pack there is a good chance that the spring will puncture your finger and cause it to bleed. The spring slips out of position very easily thus causing the spring to be usles becuase it doesn't put any pressure on the lid when you open it to spring back.
Overall I am not very pleased with my purchase and should have bought another brand!!!

As others have said, these pods are nigh indestructable......amazing really. Only issue I have had was with 1 lid (out of 6), but it was easily fixed with a pair of needlenose pliers. Otherwise best pods I have ever owned. I want to shoot them with a shotgun just for fun lol!

The major flaw is these can be hard to open because its strength> performance. If I was playing tournament, I would stay away from these. If your rec and woodsball the second struggle to open the pod could be worth it.
Overall: I'd buy again, but not my first pick

I picked up a handful of these this weekend and initially was pretty impressed; they felt hardy and solid and had a smoothness to the material that made them easy to handle.
Out on the field I tossed one on the ground and from about 5 yards away hit it with 2 paintballs. My marker was chrono'd in the 275-280fps range. A huge chunk snapped off the side of the pod and went spinning away. I was shocked. The way it shattered makes me think these are, if anything, MORE brittle than traditional pods.
I've seen the impressive shotgun video and I don't know what they did in that video, but I can tell you that THESE PODS DO NOT STAND UP WHEN HIT WITH PAINT!!! I don't know about you, but i need pods that can withstand a hit or two from a paintball marker; their ability to withstand pellets from a shotgun, be thrown at a wall, or be stood on is irrelevant to me.
I sent the manufacturer an email expressing my displeasure and asking them if they had an explanation but never heard back from them.
I would NOT recommend these pods given how easily they fail when hit with paint and the complete lack of any response from the manufacturer to my inquiries.

I've been using these pods that I picked up from a guy at the local field and have only one complaint. These pods seem to open very easily and drop paint alot. If they opened a bit more stiffly, they'd be fantastic.
Overall I find them a bit overpriced compared to the Empire, JT, or VL pods you can get with the all around tabs. They are a good pod and live up to their name in being indestructible and have good capacity. But that lid opening too easily means I've lost a few pods worth of paint even when dropped from just a few inches.

I've used these before and all i can say is wow. they are truly indestructable! they are made out of the same plastic lenses are made out of so no worries about someone shooting a hole through it unless it's with a rocket launcher. only issue i can think of is that they lid closure is not as good as GenX but the lid is rounded to accomodate round balls and the company making them is AMAZING! worth the extra price since they will last longer. there's even a video out there of someone shooting them with a shotgun...and it took a few shots to do serious damage.
