The Bob Long Ripper 2 Intimidator. Is there honestly anything that needs to be said here? Bob's markers are some of, if not the best markers for tournaments players around. Every marker Mr. Long has released has set the standard for paintball markers worldwide.

I got this in a sale online for an insanely low price. As this was one of the untouchably expensive markers when I was younger, I had to jump on the sale. Since then it has been one of my 3 go-to markers, and comes with me every day of play.

Pros:
-Looks amazing. Granted, it's the least milled of the ripper line, but it still flows very smoothly, and looks as poweful and , ahem, intimidating as it shoots.

-Super reliable. After 2 years of use by me alone, I've only had one issue, and that was the solenoid gunking up. Other than that it has always performed flawlessly.

-Air effecient. I never ran close to being out of air in a game.

- (personal preference) It has that classic smooth, yet clacky sound that was all over the tournament scene back in 2005. More nostalgic than anything. I just love the sound they make

Cons:
- By today's standards, this gun is a bit heavy. While not particulary heavy in it's own right, comparing it to the high ends of today makes this thing seem like a behemoth.

Final Words: For the price that these are today, I think this is probably the best marker money can buy. BLAST still supports it, and there are tons of aftermarket parts still floating around. The Ripper 2 will definitely be around and strong for a very long time.

I got this gun in a trade in 2006 and still own it. I donít think I have ever done any kind of maintenance on it other than routine cleaning and I could take this gun out of my bag, air it up, and shoot ball on ball after its been sitting in my bag for the past 2 years. I still use this gun as my back up because itís so reliable. It has that classic Timmy feel and has all kinds of upgrades which used to be costly but fun. You used to want to put all kinds of aftermarket parts on these gunsÖgrips, bolts, triggers, boards etc. etc. It was expensive but fun to try and customize and upgrade your gun as much as possible. Now I just take a marker out of the box and play with it stock, nothing really more needed. Maybe a trigger, or bolt here and there, but other than that, thereís not much else you really needed. The fact that I can still pick this gun up and play with it is a real testament to the quality of this product. It's also one of the sickest looking guns out there IMO but the only drawback is the size of the grip frame and the size in general. This is obviously in comparison to the guns on the market today, but for its time this and all other guns off the Alias platform were some of the best poppet guns ever made. The G6R is based off this platform and itís amazing.
