Great paint, Russia shoots it at PSP events and vipers shoot it at regionals. Not too soft, but haven't gotten any noticable bounces yet.

Pros: looks cool
Cons: inconsistent
I have shot 3 star for about 2 years and I hate it on some days, but love it on others. GI paint is one of those "weird" paints that is creating lasers one minute, then shooting like monster balls the next. The paint is moderatly brittle and looks really cool. Sometimes (very often) there are balls that are egg shaped and have little bulges on them. All in all, its an OK paint. I don't like paying $60 a case for freaking egg shaped balls though...

Pros: Cheaper than 4 star
Cons: Hard, dimple easy, bores inconsistent
We were forced to buy some 3 star for a tournament because they were out of 4 star. The price doesnt really justify the paint. We had to change the bores a few times switching to 3 star from 4 star. The biggest issue was the balls did not want to break. I watched a guy get shot 5 times but no breaks. These balls were bouncing off bunkers so hard they were flying over then nets. One hit my foot and I was 20ft from the net. I'd buy the 2 star over the 3 star.

GI MilSim 3 Star Very consistent and nice. Fill was also nice and thick. A little more expensive but you get what you pay for.
