Chest protector/bounce vest: definitely does take away some of the pain from paintball and adds bounce factor. Great spandex (under armour like) material with sewed in padding and ribbed, side pads. The bad: these run very small! Im a pretty thin guy, medium built, and large was suffocatingly small. I had to sell it and buy another at a loss. They do wick away sweat, but are still very hot.

Cons: Tight to get on
BUY A SIZE UP! I bought a size up and it's still difficult to get on and off sometimes. Other than the size issue it's amazing. Some of the best protection from a dry fit chest protector. Breathes really great and it covers everything perfectly. I really like the side padding and coverage. I honestly just wear this now and my P.E. elbow pads and that's it when I go playing.

Planet Eclipse Overload Chest Protector I've been using this one for quite a bit, had the empire one before and a JT one before that. they are all really hot, especially if you are playing in FL like I am. this one seems to have a bit more...

Pros: bounce city!
Cons: hot as balls
I've been using this one for quite a bit, had the empire one before and a JT
one before that. they are all really hot, especially if you are playing in FL
like I am. this one seems to have a bit more of that material that makes
the sweat from your body to evaporate and seems to have the padding in
all the right places.

this is really a tough piece of gear too. I wear it every week at least once,
and wash it every time, and it's been holding together admirably for almost
3 years now.

Like I said, it's hot to wear it, but the amount of bounces it produces makes it
not only worth it, but actually indispensable when I'm playing, basically I just
won't play without it.

Some people might call you derogatory names and stuff when they see you
putting it on, but they will surely find a whole new set of things to tell you
when their shots start bouncing off your chest and arms during gameplay.

I'll take any (legal) edge I can get, it's just part of the game, and this is edge
at its peak, cannot count the amount of times it kept me in the game. this
past weekend we had a 3-man tourney, got bounced because of it at least
twice. oh and it does reduce the pain on the impact too, if that's why you're
looking to get one of these..
