Pros: Look good and fit well
Cons: Breathbility
I use the Zulu jersey due to Valken sponsorship.
I will say that I really like the way the jersey looks and fits, however it does have its downfalls in the fact of the material used to make it.

Main torso area of the jersey is made of the stretch fit Under Armour style material, this is a nice feature but it does not breathe the greatest and velcro will actually stick to it and pull on it.

Sleeves are made of thicker rip stop style material used on most military uniforms so it is very thick and rugged but does not breathe at all.

I would really like to see the jersey have some mesh in the rib areas to help with breathability.

Pros: Very comfortable
Cons: Body of shirt does not like velcro
I bought the V-Tac Zulu pants and Jersey along with the 9 pod vest all in tiger stripe, I have no complaints as far as the perfomance of these items they are all great and do as advertised the only problem I have is with the vest if I dont tighten it all the way the velcro gets stuck on the moisture wicking material of the shirt and causes little snags to form...as long as it's not being touched by the velcro it's not a problem but sucks when you need to losen the vest for a little extra breathing room.

Just suited up in this last night and it looks amazing. The pattern will look great in the woods and I can't be happier. Fits over my bounce vest gear and I can move and feel comfortable. Breathes where I need it and I'll have great access to my gear.

Pros: Look, comfort, rugged sleeve material
Cons: Tends to trap heat
My team and I chose Valken's Zulu line because of the great reviews that we saw, and because we were able to get a great price on them. I was impressed with the look, feel, and comfort of this jersey from the get go, although if you have a gut at all you might want to order a size larger. The spandex-type material tends to be tight fitting.

Valken advertises this jersey as their moisture wicking line that is designed to be worn underneath an assault pack. While I am sure it does it's job (I don't use a full pack, only a hydration pack and a pod harness) the rugged material that is used for the sleeves, while it does not snag or tear, and offers at least protection, traps heat badly. This has been so bad on numerous occasions that I have been forced to abandon the jersey. Also, the spandex that is used for the mid-section of the jersey seems to trap some heat and frays easily when in contact with velcro or rubber coated straps, such as that on my pack.

In conclusion, the Valken Zulu jersey, while it seems to be made of sturdy material and does work to an extent, does not live up to the expectations which I had formed upon ordering it. While the features of this jersey (patch areas and pockets on the sleeves, as well as the minimal padding on the forearms and the spandex torso) are nice, the lack of ventilation takes these jerseys off of my list of "re-buys." I would suggest to Valken that they insert mesh perhaps on the ribs and/or part of arms to allow for better ventilation.
