would recomend upgrading to bw...

I just got this dm12 4 days ago and as a previous dye owner i have to say that dye didnt dissapoint here, this gun has come along way since the dm5 and 6 that i have owned, tooless bolt system is amazing, accuracy is on point, would u expect any less from dye? The milling and color schemes are insane, i shot this off the day after i got it and it was ball on ball, i would recommend this gun to everyone!! Way to go dye, another winner here!!

I just traded my g6r12 for a dm12 and couldnt be happier. Ive used older dm's in the past (the last one I owned was a dm6) and I was blown away by the dm12. First impression of the gun is it looks a little big, compared to the smaller profile guns like the GEO and G6r, but its just as light if not lighter. Its super comfortable, shoots like butter and is really quiet. Its got average efficiency, I was spoiled with the g6r, but it's still more efficient than my geo 2.1 By far my #1 gun right now
The only con I could think of is there are alot of O-rings. But with any spool valve gun you are going to have that. Not that its a problem, it just causes potential for a problem because one of the many could break. I have yet to have one go bad on me

I will say this is my First spool valve in a very long time. (6+ years). I am extremely happy with this gun. I happened to get a good deal at the right price when I was in the Market for a new gun. Ive been a long time popit valve shooter. (timmies, Egos etc). I had my ego10 since it Feb of 2010. so it was time for a new marker. Picked up a brand new DM12 Red with white parts (GO UTES!) from Utah Extreme Paintball.
The gun shoots amazing. Ball on ball every shot. Ive chopped once in the gun due to terrible paint. With the Dye Ultralite barrel it comes with, there is no reason to have another barrel for this gun, period.
The gun does require some constant lubing for it to work right but then again it is a spool valve.
Now for the cons. My one huge issue is the lack of LCD. for the retail price of this you would think it would come with some sort of LCD with it. But the DMs never really have. Coming from Eclipse guns the lack of LCD is disappointing. Adding a LCD or OLED screen should not be that big of a deal for a DM marker. the LCD would add alot friendlier touch to the settings of the board which can be rather taxing to learn and operate if you play both PSP and NPPL formats.
however the gun overall rocks but just some minor short comings I wish dye would fix such as the LCD without making us go to a Virtue OLED board.
