Internally the Etha is a radical departure from anything seen before in an Eclipse marker. For the first time we utilize a spring return bolt system in the firing mechanism, allowing us to simplify the pneumatic side of the marker and use a Pull Poppet spool to release air from the firing chamber. The Etha comes delivered in a hard case with everything you need to look after and maintain it.

Pros: Best Trigger in the market, great SL3 regulator
Cons: None.
I bought my planet eclipse etha (titan white) a week ago and it shoots great.
I gotta admit that the trigger is the best trigger in the 350-400 range.
The board is easy to work with.
The SL3 regulator is awesome! Works with high pressure tank regulators (800psi). I don't recommend ninja SLP or LP.
The feedneck gets loose when it's not tightened which doesn't really bother me.
The 14' 2 piece barrel is great. I'm not planning on replacing it.
The maintenance on the bolt is easy. You can access the bolt without allen keys.
Many people complain about the "ping" sound when it's shooting, but I never heard it.
I used to own a GOG Extcy and Invert Mini & the Etha beats both of them.

Price paid: $300.00
Pros: Package, Barrel, Feedneck, On/Off, Reliability
Cons: Ping(shot), Efficiency, Composites
I got my Etha second hand from a friend with an empire cf 68/4500 tank. So for that price, it was literally a steal for me. However, for it's original price of $394.95, it's still a great deal compared to it's competitors of the same price range (most notably the Empire Axe and MacDev Drone DX).

Pros Extended: The Etha comes standard with a Shaft 4 Barrel (found in it's older brothers; the Ego and Geo), OOPS on/off asa, cam-lock feed neck, planet barrel sock, and a solid, milsim-like hard case with ample amounts of lube and an eclipse tool tube. Planet also includes a full color and detailed manual with the warranty card attached as the last page. The trigger on the Etha is amazing for it's value. With four points of adjustment, it's pretty much a high end trigger (despite small side to side movement). If you're familiar with Planet Eclipse markers, then you'll find that the regulator is the same as the ones found in it's high end counter parts. Maintenance is a breeze on this marker. Simply remove the bolt, put a thin layer of grease on each o-ring and clean the breach and eyes if necessary. Like any Planet Eclipse gun, maintenance can take less that 5 minutes, unless you drowned this gun in mud and water. Which will do absolutely NOTHING to the gun. Mud, rain, snow, gravel, it's as tough as a Tippmann (and 70% of the paintballers out there lol)

Cons Extended: There's one thing the Etha does not share with it's older brothers like the Ego and Geo: the shot quality. During the break in period, which is also quite lengthy (about 3-5 cases), there is a noticeable ping and vibration throughout the gun. Though I barely noticed it during play, it is a blatant flaw in the Etha's design. Another feature of the Etha that most shooters dislike or are sketchy about is it's composite frame. It's not noticeable when it's in your hands, however one could see why Planet did this. I personally would've been willing to pay an extra $60 for a metal frame but I can't complain with the package you get with the price. As a result, the grips on the Etha are extremely limited and have few to no available aftermarket upgrades. The Etha is also a bit hungry for air. On a slow filled 68/4500 tank, it can dish out about 6-7.5 pods (8 once it's broken in). Not bad, but not great. You can get a smoother and more efficient shot quality from either the Axe or the Drone GT.

Con Fixes:
-Shot quality/Efficiency : TechT MRT Bolt - easier on paint, greater efficiency, lowers or eliminates ping and vibration (once broken in. Every gun is different).
-Efficiency/Accuracy: Buy a barrel that has a bore that matches the paint used in your field (general fix for ALL markers).
-Composite Frame/Parts: Stop being a whiny little *****.

Recommended Upgrades:
-Planet Eclipse clamping feed neck thumb screw.
-TechT MRT Bolt
-Any barrel that will match your field's paint size (if you don't have one already).

Verdict: Pretty much a dumbed down Geo with a poppet but without the efficiency of a true poppet. Ergonomics are similar to that of a Geo and the board is very simple to operate (operation key can be found inside the right grip panel). This marker is a great example of the quality Planet Eclipse provides for it's shooter. Though they state it's an entry level marker, it's a mid range marker compared to it's competitors in it's price range. Definitely not for everyone due to the composite frame but to be honest it's just as strong and lighter than your regular metal frames. Like anything else, try it out before you buy it. Now go get some gog shots!

Planet Eclipse Etha Great entry level speedball gun. Not much that can be added that others have not said. I have added the "Rails" kit to make my Etha look more Milsim/woodsball acceptable.

Pros: Price A++ Cant get a better gun for the price..
Cons: Can't use any drop forward.. Reverse Dove Tail..
Picked this gun up at Battlegroundz in Indiana, after my Eblade took a crap on me.. Shout out to the guys at Battlegroundz for giving me such a gun for $310 new, because I was down and out ( GREAT GUYS ).. But the gun was keeping up with the best of them.. No chops, just straight shots.. Easily walkable trigger.. Great response.. Only thing is, I like my drop forwards and not a one that I own will fit.. It's a reverse dove tail and I believe you need to buy theirs.. Also, if you're playing a night time game, the LED is so bright, that planes start trying to land on ya..

Pros: FREAKING EVERYTHING
Cons: Very inefficient.
I have played with everything from the Brass Eagle Raptor Pump to the DLX Luxe 2.0 to the Planet eclipse CSL. And after all of that experience, this is pretty high up there on my list of favorites. First of all, it's quiet, smooth, and it feels great in the hands. It shoots FANTASTIC and and I have no complaints. The LED on the back is the brightest I have ever seen, and there is a massive button that is easy to push, even with gloves on. The modes are extremely easy to switch as well. The trigger is easily adjustable, the bolt is easy to remove, and the gun can take a beating. On youtube, there is a torture test. Watch it and you will see what I mean. If you are looking for a great marker for under $400.00, this is your best bet. I even rate it above the axe, if both are stock.

To planet eclipse on this one.

Pros: Price vs Performance!
Cons: Trigger slop, *available options
Returning to the sport I chose the Etha based on it's price and the functionality that it came with in it's stock form. You really do not need to upgrade the board, or any fancy shmancy parts. It fires right, and as fast as you want right out of the box. The only thing I am looking to change at this point is the barrel (control bore sizing) - and to replace the trigger once one becomes available. *The stock trigger works fine, I just don't like the side to side play (which is fixable - search it) and would rather have an aluminum one.

Cons: Ok performance looks plasticy
The Etha is a great marker for anyone looking for an entry-level marker that preforms better than most other entry-level markers. Like always with planet eclipse guns you get legendary reliability and great packaging that comes with the gun. I know a lot of people are turned off by the gun because of the look that it is cheaply made but when you hold it in your hands you can tell it is of quality materials. The ergonomics on the grip aren't the best but they are fairly comfortable to hold and this gun is easy to shoot and set up. It is very user friendly and would be great for the entry level player. For the time i have used this gun it has never broken down and it preforms so well!

I have had this marker for about 7 months now and i have shot about 7 cases with it. I can say that this marker is great. It comes with more than other markers in its price range such as a case, a 2 piece barrel worth about 65, full colour manual and a large parts kit. The etha barely breaks paint and shoots quite straight. Downsides of this marker are that it is quite loud due to its inline poppet design and the body looks a bit plain. Other users have complained about a 'pinging' sound from the solenoid but i have not had this problem.
