Another awesome product from Empire. Never used the previous version but a buddy of mine convinced me to get one. Right out of the box I pulled the shell apart, installed batteries, and proceeded to shoot a half a case of paint. I've had mine for than a year and it hasn't jammed or malfunctioned once. Worth every dollar.

Cons: Eats batteries, tricky to put together
Changed to the z2 after my rotor jammed several times. Loader is light weight, durable and performs flawless. People complain about them falling apart while playing but most of the time people don't have them put together right. (It can be tricky) the anti jam is nice. On the rotor the anti jam never worked and I had t do surgery in the middle of a game. The z2 has only jammed once because I overfilled it. The anti jam cleared it with no effort on my part.

Cons: Lid spring (will explain)
This replaced my rotor and I will say I like this more. Simple to use and easy I clean. Downsides? Not as easy to "completely" disassemble as the rotor, also when I switch from a speed feed to the lid (due to rain), the lid spring comes out and is a pain to get back into place

Pros: small profile, sound activated, rip drive
Cons: nothing so far
So I have used a Rotor since day 1 (still have my V1), but i used to use Halos before that. When I saw the z2, it brought back instant nostalgia. I like the fact that it is still sound activated, has the rip drive underneath, and now with the shells that come apart like it does for cleaning. I would suggest this hopper to anyone who has a mid-range or higher marker. The reliability is outstanding.

Cons: See below
So far I love the Z2. I didn't expect anything less from Empire though as I have used the B series in years past. They didnt change the looks much from years past but IMO I think the Z2 looks better than a Spire or Rotor, but that's just me. This is the best choice of hopper money wise and performance wise. All around my favorit out at the moment.

Bought a Z2 to replace a rotor I had. I am pretty impressed thus far with it. It feeds consistently and has great battery life. I love the lower profile as well as the updated drive system and the new integrated feedneck. Empire pulled out all the stops on this one. Will be hard to get me back to a rotor
