I've been a long time fan of Tippmann and I love their older mechanical guns, but this is still just an electric Model 98 Custom. There is nothing inherently wrong with the gun, but there is much to be desired. It's heavy, it kicks, it burns through gas like a stretched hummer. One of the pluses of the 98 is that when I walk out on the field, it's going to work. It wont perform nearly as well as other markers, but when you play in sub-zero weather and blinding snow (like this winter ) you need a marker that can handle those extreme conditions. What I've done to this tippmann would give high-ends nightmares... All in all, I will always have a spot in my gear bag for a Tippmann.
