Pros: Sound signature, uses less air, threaded back cap
Cons: A little rough on the orings during breakin period
Seriously I can't say enough about this bolt engine.. If you have a G3 spec R/ G4 you need this in your life for so many reasons..
-lower sound signature
-uses less air
-consistancy
-threaded back cap for gauge installation
(Set it around 170psi and you will be right around 280fps)
Probably one of the most noticeable changes in any upgrade I've ever installed on a marker.. My only con is it chewed up a few orings during the break in period but other then that its really pretty amazing to be honest.. So all in all I could have kept this short.. I you have a G3 spec R/ G4 you need this..

Cons: nothing
When I first got my g3 spec r some time ago...the first thing I did was purchase the tech t L7 bolt to ease up on air efficiency and it certainly fit the bill...installing it was a breeze...its a tool less installation...just lube it up...screw it in and go...and not that its a big deal but it def improved the look of the marker as well...so if u pick up a g3 spec r..I highly recommend picking up the L7 bolt as ur first upgrade...best decision u could make...

Pros: Performance
Cons: Kills the look of the gun
One of the easiest additions one could add to a gun. Simply remove the old backcap and bolt and thread in this new bolt engine. It improves efficiency, and reduces already low kick and sound. Not really much that can be said about this. It does what it is supposed to do, and then some.

The only gripe I have with it is that the cap sticks out the back, and doesn't really flow well with the look of the gun. I liked the flat back of the stock bolt better, but if this is the only issue, then it really is a great produce.

Pros: EFFICIENT, less kick, quiet
Cons: Price may be a bit steep for some
First off, I must say, this is pretty much a must have fir ant DP G - series owner.

Lets get to it.
With the addition of the Techt L7 bolt engine, it has dramtically reduced kick, sound signature, upped my efficency, i was able to lower my dwell from stock down to 7ms, easy as pie to maintain and clean, the gold looks cool , and the G4 will truly do 35 bps with out chopping with this bolt. I will back this up totally. Its well made, TechT has amazing customer service. I asked for a few extra stickers from them, they sent me one in every color plus the one in the packaging!

Honestly, I guess the price may be a con at $70, but the construction, process needed, and lifetime warranty justify it for me!

Last word, BUY THIS THING, you wont regret it. It takes an already great shooting gun far to the next level.

Pros: works as advertised
Cons: some people have issues
Installing the bolt was easy. Simply pull your old back cap and bolt, lube the Techt bolt o-rings and screw it in. Turn on your gun and set dwell and ABS to factory defaults. You probably wont need them elevated any more to overcome bolt stick. Air up and your first shot will be a lot different. The first thing I noticed is the greatly reduced noise and recoil. I then checked my FPS and I was shooting faster than before so I had to turn down my velocity. I haven't done any real efficiency tests yet, but from just shooting a couple of hoppers full of paint I was using less air.

Cons:
1. The bolt face protrudes into the breach slightly. Techt says this is normal and "by design".
2. The bolt is no longer o-ringless.
3. You have to stick a barrel swab down the barrel and push the bolt out to relube/clean the gun. The stock bolt would just about drop out the back of the gun.

Pros:
1. Much quieter than the stock bolt
2. Less recoil
3. Lower operating pressure.
4. Lower dwell set to 10 now. I had to run at 12 with the stock bolt.
5. More efficient air usage over the stock bolt.
6. Smaller FPS difference shot to shot than the stock bolt.

Final conclusions:
Worth it! Especially after getting the shorter bolt that doesn't protrude into the breach so much. The original bolt protruded sufficiently to stop paint from dropping into the breach some times.

Pros: Solved my bolt stick
Cons: None found yet
I bought mine used off of Ebay, thus the lower price. I bought this because my stock bolt had become worn. Probably my own fault - I'm guessing the O-rings became worn and I didn't notice, so the stock bolt started to wear, then stick. I bought this bolt used and swapped it out in less than a minute. So far, I have not tried changing any board settings.

First thing I noticed when I did my chrono - using the same velocity setting, it bumped up my FPS by 100. First 3 shots all came out at about 383 fps. I shot several more balls and still had same speed. I was surprised that no ball broke in the breach or barrel considering the speed. I may be figuring it wrong, but since the same volume of air (stock v. Techt bolt) increased my velocity by roughly 30%, I'm guessing that when I cranked my velocity down to the 290 range, I'm using about 25-30% less air than stock.

Overall I have been very happy with this bolt. I've shot 2 cases now playing winter ball in temps down to 10 degrees and it worked great.
