I originally bought a pair of Empire 2011 Contact pants and had a problem with the mesh ripping, although I loved everything else about them. After contacting Kee customer support I was told I could send the pants in for repair or replacement since the mesh had ripped only a month after I had bought them for $80. To my surprise the package that came back had a new pair of 2012 Contact TWs, and they were even better than the pants I had before!
The 2012 pants had even better knee padding and more durable material, MUCH better designed mesh venting, and the pocket zippers now open downwards and face back, which makes much more sense. The pants were even more comfortable, and still have all the features of the previous years like the microfiber on a bungee in the pocket and dual swab pockets that have excellent placement.
I thought the pant's knees were too wide and stiff at first, but after playing even once they were much more broken in and now several months later the knee pads feel like they're not even their when you're running. Crouching and sliding they still provide plenty of padding however, and I don't even need knee pads when playing on turf. I get plenty of bounces off the legs too.
I couldn't be happier with these pants and the service from Kee action sports!

these pants are fantastic. the padding on the knee and shin is perfect, the stitching is tough and from the first time i wore them they felt like a pair of jeans i owned for years. the microfiber in the pocket is cool and comes in handy. i got mine on sale, but would have paid full price! they flex and breathe where you need them to and clean up very well. the only con are the two buttons that snap the over the zipper...they never stay snapped.

These pants are waaaaay ahead of the rest of the brands out there! The knees feel like a pillow top mattress and the hip and lumbar padding are slender and solid as well. Initially I gotta admit, these pants felt freaking hot when I first put em on and it didn't seem like there was any venting at all when I had first looked at em but after actually wearing em for about a minute they felt much better than any dye pants. That and add in the zipper pockets and actually functioning drawstrings (dye fail) ...great pair of playing pants pick em up.
