If you like the S6 but thought it was "too heavy" then snag a S6.5.

Love this marker and own one today. Not getting rid of it either.

Cons: A bit pricey
The CCM S6.5 is the pinnacle of pump guns. From the machining to the mechanics, this gun is the "meat and potatoes" of pump paintball, but crammed inside the chassis of a (insert preferred high-end vehicle). Each CCM is made uniquely, and they all have their own beauty and character as individual markers.

The efficiency of a CCM gun is also great, as I have played a number of scenarios and tournaments where a 68/4500 tank fill will last me the majority of the day, and I usually only fill back up when I am heading home.

These guns retain their resale value if well maintained and cared for, which is also a solid selling point. Nobody likes to see an investment drop in value the instant you begin to enjoy it.

CCM's customer service is also top notch, and they are quick to answer any questions you may have about this or any other product they make. This is a high quality, American made product, and I could not support CCM or their equipment any more than I already do.

I got the first of the new generation 6.5 (No visible detents). The marker right out of the box, you can tell it didn't come from China. The price is steep but you do get what you pay for. Full replacement parts are normally stocked and the "Client Experience" is spot on like everyone says. Very pleased with the marker, very pleased with dis-assembly. The anodizing is well done and the various pieces match well. This is one of those markers you just don't get rid of. I would say overall when you reach this price point for a marker like this you know what you are buying before you even contact them. The difference is you take pride in the marker, its something that you wipe down EVERY time you get home.

Pros: Quality, Support, Looks, Best pump stroke, Fast
Cons: Cost, Maintenance
Quality - The S6.5 is a marker that you know as soon as you take it out of the package you get what you paid for. Every component is of the highest quality and it feels purpose built to be the best pump gun.

Support - You'll know the first names of almost all the CCM staff members by the time you've finished ordering your gun. And even years after you've bought it they're always willing to help

Looks - Personal preference I think the S6.5 is the coolest looking pump you can get without CCM'ing a rare cocker like an FBM, Lotus or Karni. Getting every part in your color and finish of choosing just makes it yours which is amazing (I don't understand people who get their CCMs in a dust black)

Best pump stroke - Every friend I know who has ever used my S6.5 hates me for it. If they're not using a CCM they instantly know that their pump stroke is like pushing a shopping cart over gravel in comparison. The action is so smooth and refined I can't imagine there being an improvement (although I haven't shot the J12 lol)

Fast - Yes a pump that is FAST. People have asked me if it's an electric. The auto-trigger is addictive once you get used to it and hard not to abuse. Try to avoid it though as you should really be aiming more than streaming paint, but seriously you can throw a lot of paint down field with this thing.

Cost - You get what you pay for

Maintenance - The open lower chamber in the S6.5 is where I would recommend anyone looking at the S6.5 go with the S6. The lighter weight does not justify having to clean gunk off your hammer every couple of games. Furthermore depending on where you marker is sweetspot you may find that at certain FPSes it's not as consistent as others. From the factory I was +/- 2 at 280 FPS, and I'm +/- 15 at 250 FPS. This is more of a sniper issue than a CCM specific issue though so you can't dock it for that.

*Note* If you order your CCM I'd recommend avoiding the CCM fittings, they look awesome but they're way too finicky to be worth it, at least they were 2 years ago.

Pros: Everything works perfectly together
Cons: Nothing
CCM makes the best pumps in the industry hand down. Nothing really comes close. Pumps in general are parts added onto an autococker, thus things can have some slop in how they function. One of the best things about a CCM is all the parts work together perfectly. Very smooth, quiet and consistant. You cannot go wrong. The only question is between which of their guns. Honostly. Which ever one meets your fancy.

I highly suggest this marker.
