Every time I have gotten my hands on this paint it is terrible. Fresh batches and old alike they always seem to suck. It doesn't fly straight and it really inconsistent on the chrono with a matched bore. I understand its the low end but fields for some reason charge like its high quality **** when it's just bad.

I bought a case of this stuff to run drills at my little practice field set-up at home and for breaking-in a new Axe. Had shot nearly a case of High-end (marbs) and mid-grade (RPS Premium, Core Premium) without a single break. The DXS Basic Training paintballs seemed to be in great shape, fairly consistant shape, paint was matched to barrel size correctly. Within the first 80 shots or so, I broke several balls in chamber. Had to completely disassemble my marker to get paint out of the hole for eyes, disassemble loader, it was a mess. I'll stick to mid-grade paint for practice and shooting at home. The time I spent cleaning my gun and getting my eyes working again is not worth shooting the 1800 balls I have left of the stuff.

Draxxus Basic TrainingMy go to paint at my FPO field. Between this and Heat I would go with this more now. Usually pretty decent seams, usually breaks, flies pretty straight. Would still prefer F13 or Bronze over this...

Draxxus Basic TrainingThis is practice paint. It's not very consistent and the shell is a little too hard, but it works well for an average rec-baller.

This paint is great for woods ball because it has a harder so it has a better chance to go thought leaves and brances unlike you thiner grade paint if you are looking for paint that is cheap and good for woodsball you should get this but if you are looking to play speedball with this paint then i would check out other paint.. And also th fill on this paint is a little watery so it would be east to wipe

Ok first of all....this is the low grade paint from dxs...so do't be comparing it to premium paintballs or even tournament paintballs....IT IS LOW GRADE PAINT!!!!!! That already tells you that it will not be very brittle and they are not the roundess paintballs you will ever see(some with small dimples)......comparing it with other low grade paint like diablo heat, it is def much much better quality paint.....diablo heat is by far the worst paint i have shot so far..and shooting dxs basic training afterwords felt like heaven
It doesnt jam in your hopper and shoots pretty straight compared to other low grade paint.... This type of paint is good for woodsballs and for mechanical markers that are rough on paint.
The only thing that bothers me is the brittleness, isn't the whole point of paintball for the balls to brake on target?????? Why would any manufacturer want to sacrifice that attribute??? Anyways,,,,for a low grade paint it is fairly brittle.....worth the buy? Yes....if Money is not an issue for you...well go get some premium paint or tournament level paint.
Oh and the fill..well, again this is LOW GRADE, so dont be expecting thick paint or flashy colours

I like the paint for what it is. Its better than the crap from walmart and since im a rec player its cool for me.
I have shot 20+ cases of this paint and its consistent with the above desc. for every hopper

Draxxus Basic TrainingBought a case for outdoor play (june).
Most of the balls were showing dimples. Did not shot straight and had quite a few breaks (on an Etek3).

I have used basic a few times at my field and the quality of the paint has been totaly hit or miss. I had one case were i couldnt go a game with out at least 2 barrel breaks, and i have had some cases were i only get a few breaks. The paint is inaccurate compared to higher end paint, but not the worst. most of the time it seems to be dimmpled. I would only recomend this for practice with a team or if you are on a really tight bugget.

This stuff is pretty darn good for the class it's made for. Rec play.
When I drop them on the ground, about 7 of every 10 break from about a 6 foot drop to cement. when you're shooting, the number obviously goes up a bit.
The shell isn't Ultra-evil brittle, but it definitely is a good product to use on a normal day to day basis.
The paint shell color is a bit odd, but the fill is fairly bright and dries quick. It's still wipeable, but not before someone else notices and calls you out. def. better than lots of paintballs out there.
Its low price makes it even more worth purchasing.
