The A1 is the first gun I've owned and let me start by saying that it's awesome! The rate of fire and ease of use I couldn't be happier with. I love the scroll wheel menu, it's easily one of the best navigation tools a player could ask for.
The only complaint I have is the same complaint of any electronic mark and that is the fact that it doesn't always work. Twice now at a tournament I've been unable to use it because of a random issue. The first time the LPR assembly went and had to be replaced, I was able to get it going for the second half of the day. The second time my velocity range was jumping all over and wouldn't stay under 300 fps. Still not sure what's up with that.
That being said, it is an awesome gun right out of the box. The only things I've changes is the barrel kit (I purchased the extra kit WDP offers with North American sized bores) and I've purchased the Magno kit, which I haven't had a chance to play test yet.
The gun has very little kick and shoots very well.

When you don’t take care or ignore your girl she ignores you and wont do anything for you in return.
If you don’t give your A-1 enough tlc its gona do the same.
When your girls happy shes gona make sure your happy
When your A-1 clean the other teams faces wont be

Angel Paintball Sports Angel 1i owned a A1 for like 2 months the whole time i owned it it never worked correct , but it was a nice gun other then the fact it didn't work 100%, the eye covers were very cheap and hard to take off...
i owned a A1 for like 2 months the whole time i owned it it never worked correct , but it was a nice gun other then the fact it didn't work 100%, the eye covers were very cheap and hard to take off without breaking and such. but the board was very easy to use since it was a lcd and was words and not lights flashing like other guns. i think the A1 is a great gun but make sure you know what your doing its not a gun for a beginner or someone thats never owned a highend marker or other angels.

When I had my Angel One I was disappointed. It had a lot of kick, and it was not very fast. In semi I couldn't hit more that 12 bps, and I have no idea why. This was partially because I was not familiar, or capable, of tuning the Angel. The LPR is difficult to tune because you have to remove/replace shims. And overall maintenance, if you must do it, takes a lot of time because there are many small parts and set screws to remove.
The easiest thing to do would be to send your gun to an Angel tech, but that is not free. I prefer markers that I can easily work on myself.
I am not an Angel-hater by any means. I thought the marker was a lot lighter than I expected, and it was very comfortable to shoulder. But I would not recommend buying this gun used, they have a tendency to be beat up badly.
Buy this marker new, and you should have a sick marker.

One of my favorite markers, has great milling, and shoots amazing right out of the box. Angel includes a stock barrel kit as well which is a bit plus for anyone shooting different paint. The stock board is easy to navigate (although some of the terms are a bit confusing if you don't read the manual). It runs on LP which is not good for me (as I only had HP tanks at the time). But anyone with a LP tank this is a great gun. I like how the bolt/ram is set up, and the easy quick removal/cleaning of the gun. Maintenance is a flash and not messy at all.
There are many options to up grade, which produces a wide range of vairety when customizing your gun. Unfortunately it only takes angel threaded barrels which can be somewhat of a pain. Which is made up for by the fact that angel includes their barrel kit.
Overall an amazing gun. Fast Light, and reliable, (as long as you take care of it)
I wouldn't hesitate to buy

Got the gun in a trade. 350 is about the price that it is going for in the b/s/t section on here. I was weary of getting an Angel, because of their lack in popularity, but man has that changed. I love this gun. It is just as easy, if not easier to clean and disassemble as the Ego I had. If you are buying it from a good dealer brand new, then it comes with a barrel kit too. Maintaining is easy. Just put a few drops of oil in the asa every few cases, and then do a full break down and lube every 20 or so. The board can be adjusted in a million different ways. It is just a great gun if you don't throw it around. Take care of what takes care of you. The only bad thing about this gun is that it is a gas hog, but with new internals coming out soon, then that is suppose to be greatly increased. Can't wait. Buy one of these, and you will fall in love with them too. Great gun, great price.

I've used an Angel 1 for over a year now. One of the better guns I've shot. Very smooth and fast. Surprisingly gentle on paint. There is one problem with the gun though. If any spec of dirts or anything gets into the back O-ring of the Ram you're screwed and have to buy a new $40 ram. If the ram problem was completely resolved, then it would be a reliable gun. I've practice with Angel Sports sponsored teams, and that was the main problem they were having too.
