Pros: Out of box ready; low decibel poppit; less-kick
Cons: efficiency not the best for a poppit
This review is my impression when i first bought this gun back in 2006 when they were first released and when i paid $1250 brand new.

The gun was such a difference from the last model, which was the G7. It took the G7's "out of the box" ready aspect and put it into a smaller, lighter machine ready for killing. The A1 was one of my most reliable guns, to which you didn't have to put $1 into the gun to make it work as a $1250 should work.

The A1 came equipped with basically everything you needed, and some. I remember i dropped the operating pressure much lower than it came factory and dropped the dwell to 6ms, not one issue with FSDO or consistency. shot beautifully just as it should, of course you had to run LP off of it. The efficiency, after dropping teh operating pressure seem to be consistent with the Ego 07 back then, just as it should, but with less kick.

Multiple times i was flagged on the field and they would check my gun for ramping and bouncing, to which there was none of that going on, this was due to the speed of their trigger and the opto trigger mechanism that was so precise and well designed. I can't speak enough for this gun and Angel as a company, its just too bad that they went out of business. Nowadays you can scoop up an A1 for under $300 and it is definitely better than any new marker in that price range and beyond.

Parts just may be the issue to get, but thats what google is for.
